Best

3 German couples, after a 2weeks trip along the west coast ,Baja Cantina became our second home for the last six days at Venice Beach.Marvellous location, great service, delicious...

All I experienced was chics dressed very unclassy and men with too much attitude thinking they were all that. I never thought the beach community was like this - whered these ppl ...

Good Party Spot 6/5/2002

Baja Cantina can be a great place to get a fun group of people together. Order one of their party trays of appetizer assortments, a pitcher of margartias and let the fun begin. There are a few drawbacks. For one, the parking is less than ideal. It's hard to score a free spot, so the best option is to valet it, but naturally that costs money. The food isn't the best Mexican fare in town, but it's priced decently. The waitstaff sometimes need reminding about refilling drinks and taking away plates. All in all though, this isn't a bad spot. The margaritas are quite tasty and they are used to dealing with office parties and birthday celebrations. It can get really crowded on weekends and it can turn into a little bit of a frat party, so beware! Pros: great margaritas, fun atmosphere Cons: can get too crowded more

RITAS ROCK- BIG BUzzes 5/20/2002

Awesome RITAS, free chips and cool atmosphere...oh and lots of pretty beach people! This is one of my favorite places in the city, They used to have lots of Live music on Sundays which is the best night. But havent seen a band in awhile! all in all a great place. Pros: margaritas, peeps, bartenders are cool Cons: not 4 romance more

  • The Scene
This massive bar looks like it was air-lifted out of Mazatlan, with its ramshackle-cantina feel, a sprawling patio with a roaring fire pit, and a crowd of rowdy revelers. The interior bar is equally crowded, but worth wading through when fish-taco cravings hit. Otherwise, sit and chill on the front patio, where the beach atmosphere is best appreciated on weekend afternoons and weekday evenings. However, those looking for a more festive vibe should head here on a Friday or Saturday night, when it transforms into a hot singles spot.

    The Draw
Though some claim they come for the classic Mexican food, the real draw is the scene; the Cantina is perhaps the biggest pickup joint south of Sunset. The 20- to 40-somethings are pretty obvious about scoping each other out, so for people feeling lonely, companionship is only a Corona away.
