These have to be some of the best bagels I have ever tasted! and there is such a variety! However my favorite thing on the menu is a sandwich that I get for lunch, The Turkey Chipotle on squaw bread, and their tropical iced tea is to die for!!! YUMMY!!! Also, the staff is very friendly and helpful no matter how many questions you ask. more

I have traveled the globe and this is absolutely the best bagel I have ever tasted. I have eaten their bagels for more than 10 years and I keep returning for the chicken club classis on a grilled works bagel. My wife and daughters have shared my 10 years of great bagels. We tried the NY and Chicago, the England, France, Italy, and Germany bagels and there is no comparison. The secret is the fresh soft chewy inside with the grilled buttery outside. Don't worry about the lines. They are an indicator of how great the place is. OC locals will only wait in line for a good thing. This place is worth the wait. I like the outdoor seating and eazy parking. I have known the honest hard working family owners for 10 years and they are the greatest. David, Michelle, Irena, and Billy, not to mention their wonderful mom serve with that special family touch. My favorite is to stop by on SAT morning with the wife, have a sesame bagel grilled in butter with rasberry cream cheeze and read Corky Carrolls OC Register surf stories. My wife likes the grilled chicken club on a works bagel grilled in butter with their special honey sauce. my daughters like a smoothie with their bagels. See you and your family there this weekend! This place rocks. I am a loyal customer for years and EVERYTHING tastes delicious! Expect to wait a little bit, as it is small, but you can always eat outside at the many tables. If you come on a weekend morning, expect to wait in line, as everyone knows how good this place is. Many folks walk the lake and then eat there daily. I have used coupons that I get in the mail and the Entertainment book. They will make things the way you want it and if something is wrong, they gladly fix it right away. (One exception to this is a very thin, older woman who does not like it when you try to order something differently than the menu describes.I just wait for someone else to take my order:) My friend works in the center and informed me that she looks the menu up online and phones in her order and it is ready for her to pick it up so she avoids all of the waiting in line...but I haven't tried that yet. Just FYI Great smoothies, fresh bagels, the french toast is so tasty, try a bagelwich for breakfast. Come back for a buffalo chicken sandwich or a delicious burger on a works bialy Bring a friend and share a BIG salad. Gotta go, I made myself hungry and am on my way to Bagels and Brew right now!
