Worst place to work 11/2/2012

Been hearing more than 30 people quit there since they lied about why I was fired there. I can't imagine how many more were also terminated too. Think before you apply for this company because whether you quit, fired or laid off. You will be denied for unemployment compensation from them. I guess I was stupid to work there since managers don't give a damn about your work ethic. Believe it or not HRHERO you see on this page is a human resource desperate for more people working there. Don't believe their lies. Now I'm hearing Baesman are terminating excellent workers cause they don't want to pay them more money. What disgust me is the working condition got worsen the past few years. I'm hearing one person is doing the job of three people and very stressful. This is what's wrong with the company. BTW 5 managers also quit during the time I worked there and wondered why. Just I found out from one of the manager used to work there described that they were forced to do what they didn't wanted to do that deemed unethical. more

Editorial review from Citysearch 10/30/2012

Do not work here! This is a poorly managed company from the top down, and turnover/ revolving door are the norm. In addition to hours; breaks, working conditions, value, and treatment of the employee are all poor. The work atmosphere is poor, but you will see this is created by poor management . This is common knowledge in the Columbus printing community(which I wish I knew about before coming here). If you are considering working for this company, and are not familiar with this facet to Baesman, please do your research first. I have to agree with the other poster in regards to the single good review on this site, that it is probably a managers review. You may be an excellant employee with great references, attributes, but when you come to work with Baesman, you may leave dejected, and questioning the very attributes you have always had . They just don't value the employee here . more

bindery supervisor,Brian Bellamey 1/20/2012

to date i have been out of work for a year in a half, but baesman runs a add about every week.see how how have prevously worked with several empoyees there,so i try to get a job there.so i call a so called friend and x coworker and bindery supervisor Brian Bellamey and tried to get a interveiw,he told me that he could'nt condsider me cause he did'nt like my job ethics ,this comming from someone who worked at westcamp press and baesman fulltime,at the sametime.so you want talk about ethics and discrimataion, this place ,this individual takes the cake, and you know what else nobody will do anything about it , so ask yourself you want to work for these idoits, and who ever knows Brian Bellamey and is bullied by this jack ass do'nt he's a punk, and sense i'm not employed, niether should this jerk, discrimanation, jerk off, more

Thanks for the heads up!! 1/8/2012

The corporate structure of today is exactly as these disgruntled employees have stipulated. I experienced a LOT of the same treatment when I was working in corporate America, and it's sad to see that not only have things not changed, but have indeed gotten worse. I was considering applying at Baesman but these employee horror stories reminded me too much of the crushing corporate structure I left years ago. I got my CDL and started driving trucks regionally, and am home everyday between 5-9pm and making more money than I ever did as a corporate zombie slave. The one review where the worker is raving about how great Baesman is, sounds like one of the managers trying to boost the company image. I can't stand how these big companies just squash their workers and try to squeeze every last waking hour out of them, sending home an empty husk of a human-being back home to their families. This is why people just go home and vegetate in front of the TV all night; they have nothing left to give. Resulting in families ruined, children left alone, marriages destroyed - all because of the greedy corporate sub-human beasts that only think about the dollar, not the oppressed people generating that dollar for them. There is no reason the work week couldn't be 3-4 days a week, 5-6 hours a day, with no drop in income. All that would be needed is for companies to stop charging so much for products. But this is where the GREED aspect comes in. The cost of paper has risen, but trees that the paper is made from grow for free. The cost of food has risen drastically, yet fruits and vegetables still grow for free, but they have been genetically modified to give LESS vitamins and sustenance. THAT'S what costing!! People's moral would skyrocket, the economy would take off, with lower prices and shorter work days & weeks. But they won't allow it. I applaud these people for standing up to the corporation and speaking their mind. It's only a blurb online, but your message got out... believe it! Power to the People!! more

Baesman is a Great Place to Work! 7/26/2011

It's very interesting reading the reviews written here because my experience has been quite the contrary. I have worked for Baesman for several years and have found the company to be a great company to work for. They are very competitive with pay & benefits, the work conditions are really good, including a temperature controlled warehouse, which you don't find in every job. The management team works with their employees to make sure everyone succeeds in their job. They have made great strides in recent years to become a better workplace. With the economic downturn, many companies closed up shop, but not Baesman. They kept their people employed and never reduced pay or benefits. I think this speaks volumes for the owners. I enjoy working there and have no plans to move on. Baesman really is a great place to work!! more

Appalling Business Practices 3/13/2009

Baesman just had a layoff: instead of laying people off so they could collect unemployment, they fired them.Their policy seems to be: work harder or you're fired. I don't know how they treat their customers, but of all the companies I've ever had the misfortune to run across, Baesman is the worst. Go elsewhere: run, don't walk. Pros: Not the only show in town Cons: Shoddy management, bad scruples more
