It?s been a while since I was there (I moved away), but I loved it and hope to go back soon. The food is good, maybe not as good as a 5-star restaurant in Japan might be, but pretty good for thousand oaks. And the people were always really friendly and they took care of me. I had my birthday once in the back room there, and everyone enjoyed it. I?m thinking I?ll go there this weekend actually? Pros: people, food Cons: weird hours more

Fresh Sushi and Creative Rolls 2/20/2008

The sushi at Bada is fresh. There are many cut roll choices that are very creative. The banana tempura dessert is a great way to finish it all up. Try the baked scallop roll, it is addicting. Pros: Kid Friendly, Fresh Sushi, Creative Rolls Cons: Service ocassionally is low more

Bada Sushi is our favorite 2/18/2008

I love that Bada Sushi has a huge assortment of rolls to choose from I never get bored and they are always adding to their specials list. The food is great, better than any of the sushi places on Ventura Blvd. I have been to Katsuya and all the trendy ones, Bada is best. I am even having my birthday there in a few weeks! Try the fire fighter roll. Pros: Great parking, friendly staff. more

slow service, mediocre food, but good atmosphere 2/11/2007

My friend and I went there for dinner on a thursday night and the service was rather slow considering how empty it was. I think it was due to a birthday party in the back, but they should've had more help if they knew they were going to be short-handed. They had 3 guys behind the sushi bar, so I'm not sure why they were so slow. What was nice was the we got comped two free beverages b/c we waited so long. My friend thinks it's because we were ordering about $100 worth of food and they wanted us to come back. Pros: good atmosphere; got comped for slow service; lots of sushi rolls Cons: mediocre nigiri; bad sake more
