Bad Ass Coffee

I've visited Bad Ass Coffee twice. The first time was mostly pleasant. I ordered a mocha, which tasted pretty good. It had a nice blend of chocolates. I did find the prices a little high for the quality of the beverage, and I am used to paying starbucks prices. The second visit was not as nice. I ordered a coffee beverage and found lumps in it. I took the drink to the counter and used a coffee stirrer to show the barista the lumps in the coffee. So, she made the beverage again. I took a few sips and found lumps in the coffee again. Having wasted enough time, I threw the coffee away and left. About a week later, I was driving down Apalachee Parkway and saw a Bad Ass Coffee Company truck driving down the road. I then watched as the driver threw garbage from a fast food restaurant out of the truck window and onto the ground while driving. After the lumpy coffee and the disrespect of my home city, I refuse to go back to Bad Ass Coffee. more

This coffee shop is part of a larger chain. Although I am not a coffee drinker, I liked it. Besides coffee (most of which is grown in the USA) they also have cold drinks, tea, cookies, milk, etc. Their prices aren't great, but are comparable to other coffee shops. The interior is decorated in a Hawaiian style, with lots of surfing pictures, and even a big ole (fake) palm tree and miniature beach in the dining area. There is a "bad ass" (donkey) in the front window, and lots of merchandise for sale throughout the store. There is a table with magazines towards the front of the store, and free wi-fi is available. The staff is also terrific. They are very friendly and helpful. more

Bad Ass Coffee is probably the best coffee shop in town. Not only is the menu expansive (and includes breakfast and lunch items!), the atmosphere is awesome. They sell everything from chai to frozen lattes, bagels to salads, as well as tee shirts, hats, mugs, and the famous Bad Ass donkey! Do yourself a favor and try this place today! Much better than Starbucks, and much less corporate! more
