Bacchus Nibbles

My Wife and I were greated as we entered by a very friendly enthusiastic man.The atmosphere was very cozy and we were sat at a table near the fireplace, very romantic my wife commented. Our server was very friendly and enthusiastic also and very knowledgable he gave us great wine and food descriptions helping us to make are choices,a rack of lamb morracan style for my wife and infused filet for me. The wine he suggested a cali cab was perfect with our choices (and not the most expensive wine on the list as ive had happen in other places) for the life of me i cant remember the name of the wine. The food was excellent the filet cooked perfectly and my wife says it was the best rack of lamb she ever had. We shared a desert a chocolate timbale made in house with a couple espressos. The owner came by during dinner to see how are night was going (the man who greeted us at the door) he introduced himself, a very charming man, he made us feel like we were guests in his home. The whole night was delightful the food, wine,service,and atmosphere were great. Bacchus Nibbles is a winner and we will be back very soon. Pros: Great wine list Cons: Need one on north shore more

Went here last night (Valentine's Day) for dinner. Was told on the phone that they don't take reservations on V-Day, but the wait should only be 15 minutes or so.... 50 minutes later, we were finally seated. Took another 20 minutes or so for an actual waiter to come. After another 20 minutes or so, the waiter came back to tell us our wine selection was out. Took our dinner order, and took another 30 minutes or so to bring our second selection of wine. It took almost an hour for our dinner to come, which in that time we never once saw our waiter. He came back and gave us an excuse that the cooks were ""F'ing with him all night!!"" Yes, those were his actual words. When he did come back 15 minutes later, our food was cold. I asked him to bring both dishes back and have them re-made, at this point I asked the owner to come over to the table. He was very upset and offered us a couple glasses of wine on the house. Well, when the food came back, it was our original food, charred to hockey puck status. Pulled the waiter and owner back again, and told them the situation, they fixed it and after 3 hours we finally ate our dinner. Pros: Lots of wine. Cons: Wait-staff doesn't know anything about wine, but they have lots of it. more

Bacchus is our all time favorite restaurant. They have a good variety and everything is delicious! Reccomendations are the Peppercorn Fillet, Thai Scallops and the Quail when it's available. I really haven't had a bad dish here and the service is as good as it gets. Wine is very reasonable too! Portions are not huge but just enough. Go with the mashed potatoes rather than the Bacchus potatoes. Pros: Quality, Selection, Wine more
