Just for the interest of full-disclosure: I am a good friend of the owner, and that's a good thing because for some reason I've been to a lot of baby showers lately (babies are popping out left and right! Yikes). But honestly, I would keep mum if the place wasn't good. And since this place is darn good, I'll give my biased opinion. An acquaintance of mine recently had a baby shower and registered at three places including Baby Emporium and USA Baby. Her registray at USA was longer because she thought they had more stuff. I found out at the shower that her shower gifts weren't what she registered for. Why? Because USA Baby didn't have anything in stock. They were all out or it was being shipped or something. And the stuff she registered for at Emporium had already been purchased (He he). When you are buying things for the about-to-be apple of your eye, you can't afford to wait months for furniture and other baby stuff - the baby will be here by then! They have TONS of inventory and make it a point to stock items. The owners are aware of the importance of having things on time. They are especially helpful if you have no kids and no clue as to what newly minted parental units might need. I'm sure my friends appreciate the Diaper Genie, whose existence I was not aware of until a couple of years ago. more

One-stop shop for all your baby needs... 5/14/2010

Love, love, love Baby Emporium. It really is a one-stop shop for all your baby's essentials. Several of my friends recommended that I go there and we ended up purchasing our stroller, crib, mattress, infant car seat, gate, and breast pump there...and registered for many cute and useful baby products such as the Ergo carrier, baby monitor, organic crib sheets and receiving blankets, toys, etc. The stroller selection is incredible...we spent hours just trying to decide which stroller and crib was the right fit for us. What I love is that Tom, the owner, and his staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. They are sincerely there to give you advice and help you find the right product for your baby, whether it be a crib, stroller, or bottles. We were willingly to get a more expensive mattress, but Tom recommended one that is cheaper and just as good. Gee, how great is that, we even saved money! I've been to USA Baby, but the selection there seems less, and also more expensive! Baby Emporium is competitively priced and seem to stock all the great quality products...so whatever you do chose there, you can rest assured that they are top products. I highly recommend you check out Baby Emporium! more

This store has everything you need... 5/10/2010

My husband and I are such huge fans of this store, they have such beautiful upscale baby items.. We recently moved back to Hawaii,(we spend our winters here) so decorating our twins nursery was a bit of a challenge. Not many retailers deliver to hawaii, unlike the east coast where there are wide variety and ranges of baby stores, I was starting to get a little frustrated. The sales ppl were so nice, the owner was so wonderful, she really took time out to answer all of my questions ( I was worried I was driving her bonkers lol ) She also made suggestions and gave me really great decorating ideas which I so appreciate. Best part, this store had everything I needed..for any Mom thats a def bonus, vs's having to run across town for this item or order another item from another place etc. saved me alot of time. I'm also a full time student working on getting my nursing degree, helping my husband manage his business, so any extra time I have is very limited. I truly hope this helps all the Mommy's and Mommys to be out there:) more

LOVE this store! 5/9/2010

Love this store! They were the only store on the island to carry the Orbit Baby StrollerSystem. I couldn't stop there, I ended up buying my whole nusery things from them. I got the Pali crib and dresser, the bamboo mattress to go with the crib, rocking recliner and almost everything from the registry. I can't wait to have my second child just to go and buy things from them!? more

I Love Baby Emporium! 5/9/2010

I love Baby Emporium. I discovered it at first from my bff who went there for everything for her little princess. At first I thought she was crazy! Fortunately it was across the street from where I lived and when I got prego I registered there. The sales people are knowledgable and extra helpful but they don't follow you around the store. That was 4 years ago...since then I was hooked. I bought everything that I could for my first and second child there. You could spend hours on the internet comparing different strollers and colors and features but I suggest going there and all of the salespeople can tell you the difference between them all. Plus items are in stock! Which is more than I can say about almost everywhere else. The prices are competitive but still more than Walmart. Also this time around I opted for one car seat and 3 bases to save money and space. The owner suggested this, which is awesome considering if I bought 2 car seats he would have made waaaay more money each was $180. Basically if you want a one-stop place aside from diapers go there, if you are on a budget, register there and hope that your friends will buy you the good stuff! My best buys have been Maclaren strollers XL and the cart that attaches to car seats, the Tiny Love Baby Gym ($60) bought it twice for each child, ergo baby carrier, Medela Pump and accessories and those amazing swaddling blankets by Luna Lullaby ($40) more

I love this store! 5/3/2010

I really love this store and have dropped down A LOT of money here in preparation of the birth of my son. My husband and I were extremely impressed with the excellent customer service and knowledge the staff exhibited with each question we had. They had everything we needed and this is my go-to place for baby stuff. more

Awesome Place!!! 5/3/2010

Well I don't have a baby, nor do I plan on having one anytime soon, BUT if you have a baby or thinking about having a baby or don't know you have a baby yet, go to baby emporium and buy some baby stuff! I recently stopped by and there is so much awesome looking baby stuff! If I was a baby, I would love to have parents that bought me stuff from here! Tom at the register is a stand up guy as well. So what did we learn today? If you have a baby and your baby needs some stuff, you MUST go here!!!! more

best baby store in town 12/31/2005

this place has the best prices and selection in town. kahala kids is too pricey, usa baby is too far away, toys r us never has any stock and doesn't carry a wide selection of non-toy items. the owner is working on finding a larger retail space, but in the meantime, this is a great bet for those items that are more boutique-y than what you find at longs, without the boutique price. cute furniture too! and the help is very knowledgeable--especially the owner (whose wife just had a baby too). more
