After going to this Montrose eatery for many years, I have seen many changes here: staff turnover (seen ubiquitously in restaurants), menu changes, renovation and expansion. A recent visit, however, reassures me that Baba Yega is still as charming as ever. The only unfortunate occurrence over the past few years has been its growing popularity! Crowded dining rooms and patios take a toll on service. Although I had no problems at my table, I did notice the staff visibly stressed and some rather impatient customers making things worse. My solution? Going during off-peak hours, like a late lunch or early dinner. Baba Yega is as unique a restaurant as one might find in Montrose. The fare is as eclectic as the surroundings, yet gives a nod to current trends in culinary culture.
