Fairly recently, a Korean restaurant opened up off of the University of Illinois campus. While there are a lot of places on campus to get Korean cuisine, they tend to be more of a "fast-food" variety, so I was eager to give this restaurant off campus a try.
I knew that it was a sit-down restaurant, so I was afraid of what the prices might be. To my surprise, the prices were comparable to those back on campus.
The restaurant itself was stylish, with a sleek modern interior that gave way to a comfortable dining experience. The staff were all extremely friendly, as well.
The food was amazing. I haven't talked to anyone that has eaten there who has not been satisfied with their meal.
The only downfall is that the menu can be difficult to interpret by those unfamiliar with Korean cuisine. Though there are descriptions given in English, they tend to be on the vague side, listing only major ingredients and oftentimes giving no real indication as to how the food is prepared (grilled? steamed? boiled?).
I definitely recommend this restaurant to those who love Korean cuisine, and those willing to test it out.
