I made the mistake of bringing three prescriptions to be filled here and I was lied to by the woman behind the counter and the manager! I was who told by the woman that my health insurance wouldn't pay for my medications, and then was given the impression that because they filled the prescriptions I couldn't get the the original prescriptions back. Sick and desperate I shelled out $115 for an inhaler and antibiotics! After this I called my insurance provider to find out why they had refused to cover them. They HADN'T refused! B & W Rexall had LIED to me! The insurance customer service agent then called the pharmacist to see if he would refund the amount I paid so that they could cover it and he flatly refused. In fact, he lied to them saying that I didn't give them the right identification (This after my driver's license and insurance card were photocopied by them!!) and telling them that he had tried to contact my insurance company but couldn't! The customer service rep. even said she didn't believe him because there is always someone on the phone until they close. I went back inside the store to talk to the manager. I believe he was Ken Heimann who is listed online as the pharmacist and owner of the Rexall.
I tried to work it out with him to which he responded, "there's nothing I can do." I tried to return the unopened bag with the medications but he hid behind Florida law and said I couldn't. He was extremely rude, arrogant and hateful. He double-talked to me telling me that I needed, "the new card," again another lie which he also tried with ins. co. Then after three people lined up behind me he told me to get behind them so he could help the, "customers." I told him that I would report his actions and he defiantly and happily told me to, "go ahead." It is clear that this is an unfair business practice + that this guy has some experience in doing. I recommend NOT going to B & W Rexall in Inverness for anything or eating at their restaurant. Definitely seek out a chain store to get your prescripts filled!
