BRIDESMAIDS AT NONCHALANCE

It was on NYC Channel 7 ABC news tonight. The doors are closed. They said they'll be open for 3 hours on Friday. Check ABC online for more details. I'm sorry all of you are going through this. Nonchalance was a great place to get bridesmaids dresses. The selection is huge, the prices are great, and the dresses came in with a perfect amount of time to get altered! Me and all the other bridesmaids loved the store. We were able to spend as long as we wanted trying on dresses until we found the one. Some of us worked with their other location, flair desgins, which we had a great experiance with as well! I would recommend this store! more

Nonchalance does have a great selection of dresses. Their service and alterations were awful. I was given an attitude by the owner of the shop. Who inferred that my size not the dress and alterations were the problem. Our party was misinformed by a salesperson and seamstress regarding the ability to alter the dress. Instead of offering to counsel her staff the owner became extremely defensive. I eventually took the dress to Affordable Elegance, Hasbrouck Heights (which has the same selection) to have the dress re-altered. Another, bridesmaid had to have the dress altered three separate times!!!! Total cost of alterations was more than the dress and Nonchalance could not have cared less. more

I know so many people who have used them through the years. I thought Nonchalance was a great place to get the bridesmaids dresses. They are very nice and helpful, each and every single one of them. They have a wide range of styles, you do not require an appointment to try on, which is helpful. I have had nothing but the best experience with them. Definitely would and will recommend them. Let me start with the good... Nonchalance gave us the best price on the dresses we ordered and the dresses came in on time without a problem. The store clerks were very helpful during the picking out.purchasing of the dresses. My issue was with their alterations. All of the girls who had their dresses altered there were a mess! Their dresses fell down on top and the girls were told there was nothing more that could be done to make their dresses fit better. The biggest issue was not only didn't the dresses fit, the girls were charged $75-$85 for these alterations. All of the other girls in my party who DID NOT have their dresses altered at Nonchalance had no problem what-so-ever and their dresses fit perfectly and were done at a fraction of the cost. more

I LOVE this store. It is just hundreds of bridesmaid dresses only. They do not take appointments, you just go in and try stuff on! It is usually busy, but not bad. Everyone is giving everyone else opinions and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. They give a nice discount when you order more than a few dresses. They came in with plenty of time to spare and everyone's dress fit. There is also a seamstress on site if you choose to use her. more

Nonchalance has one of the best selections of bridesmaid dresses in the area - Watters and Watters, Bill Heljm, etc. The sample dresses are in okay condition (some are a bit more battle worn than others) and the samples come in a range of sizes, rather just all being 8's and 10's like many other bridesmaid shops. They have a great selection of flower girl dresses as well, including Vera Wang. They sell bridesmaid and bride jewelry, hairclips, and tiaras. They are very organized and it's a fairly large store with about 5 dressing rooms. They do alterations on site as well. more
