Not the best but not the worst. 1/15/2010

This place is very clean and one of the doctors is very nice and willing to talk with you about any concerns but the rest of the staff can be a bit short. Always a long wait to get into a room to see a vet no matter if you have an apt. or not. If there was an emergency they would do, but I would not settle for them for check ups. Also very expensive and will try to administer shots and treatments before you consent and will ask you to pay so be careful if you are on a budget! more

Rebuttal to don't go there 12/18/2009

I have been going to the bcph for about 8 years now and have had a lot of care and compassion. They are friendly and kind and considerate. The Dr. seem to know what the problem is. I was just recently there with my cat who was coughing and they were quick to recognize the problem. It was asthma. I would highly recommend this vet to anyone. more

Wonderful staff, excellent service, genuinely the best available. 4/28/2008

After dealing with an awful vet tending to a bloody injury to my dog's ear, my great dane was left with the inside of his ear rubbed raw, an E-collar (that he was terrified of wearing) and no further to healing. The doctor's at Blue Cross were reassuring, came up with an alternative solution so my dog didn't have to wear the E-collar, and the wound that was initially expected to heal in 4-6 weeks, healed in just under two. The prices were very reasonable, totalling just over $100 for an exam, bandaging, and medications. I have recommended this place to everyone I encounter and am now taking our brand new kitten in as well! more

My husband and I have been taking our animals to the pet hospital for over 30 years, back with Dr. Dillon. When he transitioned this hospital he chose the best vets! more

Excellent care and compassion 2/6/2008

I have been taking my dogs to BCPH for many, many years. They have always shown nothing but the utmost professionalism, compassion and concern, from the happiest puppy moments to helping me through the toughest times when it was time to say goodbye. They always call and check on my "boys" after a visit, and never hesitate to refer to a specialist when warranted. more

I have been going to Blue Cross Pet Hospital for over 8 years now. They have helped me and all of my animals in sickness and in health with the utmost compassion and professionalism. I have since moved but continue to commute to Carmichael with my babies because they deserve the very best! Linda L. more

Excellent, compassionate, provide treatment alternatives 1/16/2008

We have used Blue Cross for nearly 20 years - 4 dogs - 2 cats. They are top notch diagnosticians, caring vets and staff, and always provide alternative treatment options when possible. Their charges are competitive and affordable. We would not take our animals anywhere else. more

Blue Cross Pet Hospital if the best! 11/23/2007

You will never find more compassion than the docs and staff at Blue Cross Pet Hospital. If they can't help with specific issues, they offer top notch referrals to specialists. I trust my pets to none other than Blue Cross Pet Hospital. Have been going there for years. As a side note, very fair prices. My dogs are my life. All vets are knowledgable, fully capable, willing to explain all issues as long as it takes. more

I'm new in town and this hospital is close to me. When I called because my cat was coughing, the employee was snotty when setting up the appointment. Then the doctor couldn't seem to diagnose my pet, even though I spent $400! I went to another vet, and they figured out right away my cat had asthma. Save yourself some trouble and don't go there! more

Blue Cross Pet Hospital 11/24/2005

This hospital has always taken great care of my pets when they have there checkups. The staff is super friendly and very knowledgeable. The prices are good compared to other hospitals and they remember your face and pet right when you walk through the door. more
