Neighborhood bar! 1/12/2012

I love this place! its a great neighborhood bar and grill. The staff are always fast and friendly, the burgers are great, and the rest of the menu is wonderful too. They have specials daily, with import beers, micro brews, and mixed drinks. Bakes also has a wide variety of seafood daily. Its a great atmosphere with good music and friendly faces. more

Great Place to Hang Out 3/16/2010

Over 75 kinds of beers, great specials every day, food made from scratch, super-nice servers and bartenders. My favorite place to eat and drink in the suburbs! It's a jem that most people don't know about. Pros: best burgers around more

Tries very hard 11/6/2009

Has a new page of specials every week; looks great but doesn't always follow through. I keep going back to find something to order. Ribs: tough and chewy. Steak: ordered medium came well and dry. Seafood pasta: little overcooked nuggets of ex-shrimp, ex-scallops, and ex-mussels. Lots of near, or not-so-near, misses. Sandwiches, burgers, Mexican stuff: very acceptable. Soups, salads: a cut above most small places. Onion rings: perfect. Cook/owner keeps trying, very accommodating. Eventually, it will be great. Pros: Fun little pub with tvs in every booth, great prices Cons: Higher-end of the menu isn't so successful. more

Great Pizza 10/16/2009

Great place for after match drinks with teammates. Service is always good, Pizza is excellent, plenty of beer choices and the cost is very reasonable. Highly recommend it. Pros: Shows all variety of sports on TVs, SOCCER is plus more

Our family's one of the most frequent restaurant...We love it. 1/8/2008

Great food,specials out of this world.Fajitas,Ribs,Seafood & Burgers are my favourite. My girlfriends love the pizza & the shrimp salads.Over 90 import beers.Every booth has its own flat screen tv. Music & sports are very well represented.Specially now,no more smoking ,makes BAKE'S my parents also favourite restaurant. Pros: Budget prices for quality prepared meals. Cons: Busy on Fridays. more

itGreat mexican dishes,fresh seafood & probably the largest Beer selection in the whole Lake County.Wife loves Portabello mushrooms,Kids adore the Pizza & I love the fresh Seafood. Pros: Low priced menu, Menu variety, Good for Family Cons: Busy on Fridays, No breakfast. more
