This was really disappointing. I have been using chain saws for 40 years. My Echo saw, which I have used for 3 or 4 years, began running rough when I had to cut sideways under load, and kept crapping out. I took it in to B&R for service and told them what was happening. They charged me $70 to service it, a bit high, but not unreasonable. When I got it back, I went to cut down a small tree (8" diameter) and it did the same thing, just would not stay at full RPM under load. It took me several minutes to finish the cut, not a safe thing! I went back to B&R and they argued with me, said there was nothing wrong, then said I didn't know how to use a saw. The technician actually got nasty with me and said I was stupid. Even after I showed them what it was doing by cutting a log, they would not agree to do anything to fix the saw.
