We heard Azuma just opened and decided to try it during their soft opening. We were greeted and sat a table in their captivating dining room with elaborate lighting and expensive decor. Our server VICTOR was obviously a newbie who did not seem to grasp the basics of serving 101. He was odd and times and neglected us for the most part. The calamari took 20 minutes and arrived after everything else - the escolar sashimi, a ceviche dish, and our sushi roll - which was sooooooooooooooooooooo not memorable that we don't really recall what we had. Azuma was a big let down, with slow service and a disappointing menu. For a soft opening, you would think a restaurant would want to impress. Instead, we left the place not really sure how we should be feeling about this place. It wasn't particularly good where we'd return, but it wasn't so horrible that we'd shun people away.
If you like good sushi and much better service go to Kona Grill instead, they got 3 stars!!!!!!!
Pros: ambiance
Cons: price, bad service
