My first impression of Victoria Youngblood was a good one. I met with her and hired her to conduct an alcohol and drug evaluation. My lawyer said it is probably not neccessary, but that we would get one just for good measure to show the DA good intent. I went in to fill out initial paperwork and then I scheduled to meet with Ms Youngblood that weekend. When I showed up, she was not there and the door was locked. I called her and she answered. Her tone was harsh and she argued with me stating that I had the time wrong and that I was late, so she left. I told her that we had agreed on 1:00pm and that I had left church ealry so that I could be there on time. She said ""No, you left church late because you were late. You were supposed to be here at 12:30"". After putting me down and treating me like a child, she agreed to come back in. I waited in the parking lot for 45 minutes. Later, during the assessment, she realized that she did have the time for 1:00pm written down. She NEVER apologized (very unprofessional). During the alcohol and drug assessment, she spent most of the time prodding into my marital life and attemepting to diagnose me and give me several lables that are very far off and inaccurate. I am a psychiatric nurse and have great insight into my own life. I paid Ms Youngblood 250.00 to conduct and evalation and she failed to do this. She sent my lawyer a letter that addressed my personal life instead of stating that I do not have a drug and alcohol problem. The only reason why I had an evaluation done is to have something on paper stating that i did not have a problem. Ms Youngblood told me on her evaluation process that she agreed- that I do not abuse alcohol or drugs. My lawyer called me when he got her letter and told me that he had never seen a letter like Ms Youngbloods. She went off in a different direction. My point is, I paid her to conduct and drug and alcohol evaluation and she did not do this. Therefore taking 250.00 from me and not providing the service she was hired for. My lawyer did not use the unprofessional letter that she sent him and my charges were still deferred and will be dropped and sealed in less than a year. Her input of my personal life and issues had no bearing on my outcome. If you are considering hiring her for a drug and alcohol evaluation, I would not recommend that you use Ms Younglbood. She appears to be very passive aggressive and loves to have control. She is used to dealing with people who are there because of a court order and she can call the shots. She does not like to be questioned. Most therapists would welcome questions and enjoy giving insight, but this woman is a very angry woman. Being a psychiatric nurse, I deal with the same community of people that she does and I will make sure they know about her unprofessional behavior.
