After one miscarriage and one unsuccessful round of IVF (and being ""Advanced Maternal Age""!), I asked my OB to please refer me to an Acupuncturist. I am SO glad she recommended Sarai, as my experience with her was wonderful. My second round of IVF was a success with Sarai's help, and I'm thrilled to say I just got through a healthy and successful first trimester with Sarai's support! She is very knowledgeable with fertility treatments, not to mention warm, compassionate, supportive and fun. I've been seeing Sarai for the past 3+ months. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about her and her practice! My first meeting, she took the time to get to know all about me. I found her treatment to be a great compliment to my IVF/embryo transfers, etc. I was very comfortable with Sarai from the first appointment and quickly realized that my total wellness was important to her. Finding Sarai was the best decision I ever made. After going through an ectopic pregnancy and surgery, I really needed someone to help me heal my body and soul. And Sarai was that person. She was able to relax me and even diagnosed me with endometriosis before my OB did. After 3 months of acupuncture and another surgery, we were thrilled to find out I was pregnant. Words cannot describe how amazing my experience has been with Sarai at Axis Acupuncture. In my very first session Sarai spent a lot of time with me trying to understand what my challenges have been and my reproductive history. She took the time to explain how Eastern Medicine along with Western Medicine can be used to overcome infertility. I found Sarai after I had been told by a well-known infertility doctor in Austin to give up trying to have a baby because my eggs were too old and my FSH levels were too high. I was devasted. I had tried several IUI's and many cycles of Clomid. I had two miscarriages, including one in the second trimester I had to deliver. I don't take no for an answer very easily so I began to do some research and came across the book ""The Infertility Cure"" by Randine Lewis. It was full of hope and had several examples of women with similiar experiences who later became pregnant naturally with the help of TCM. I tried an acupuncturist in town but then I found Sarai who specializes in infertility and she told me she had worked with Lewis and knew many of the women in the book. Sarai was so optimistic and gave me hope. I began treatments with her and in just two months became pregant naturally. We worked towards preventing another miscarriage but at 32 weeks I went into early labor. My doctor gave me medication but it wasn't working that great. Sarai changed my herbs and it made all the difference in me making it to term. I now have a beautiful baby boy. SHE CHANGED MY LIFE AND MY FAMILY! I can't say enough about her expertise. First of all, I'd like to say thanks to all others who have posted reviews before me. It was these reviews that lead me to Sarai seven weeks ago. My husband and I have been trying to conceive for over five years. In Oct 2006 we saw a specialist for the first time. I used ART (4 cycles of clomid, 1 injectibles) with no success. I never even ovulated with all the meds so I could never move on to do the IUIs. I decided to take a break from all the meds and did nothing for a couple of months. Then I started researching ""alternative"" methods and came across acupuncture. I truly believe my God led me to this website, it is how I found Sarai and that has been the biggest blessing I've had in years. All other reviews are true in describing her. Sarai is extremely knowledgeable, kind, very down to earth and she takes her time with you. My first consult with her was so therapeutic...I was hooked from that first session. And I saw results from the very first session, as well. In just six sessions I have felt better than I have in years! I am more relaxed, chronic back pain from degenerative disks has subsided substantially and although I am only at the beginning of this journey for conceiving ""naturally"", my faith and spirituality has grown tremendously since meeting this wonderful individual! I visit with her once a week and am taking herbal formulas prepared by her. She has helped me tailor my diet to that what is good for me. Sarai is a gift to Austin. She is thorough, compassionate, knowledgeable, intuitive, and a real ally if you are hoping to get pregnant. I first starting going to her for treatment after my husband and I had been trying to conceive through the usual ART (clomid, iui, injections) with a diagnosis of ?unexplained infertility.? In fact, I started going to her just as I was scheduled for laparoscopy, a very invasive surgery that really freaked me out. She helped me through that. I had been seeing a different acupuncturist before meeting Sarai, and after my first appointment with her, I switched. I wanted to see someone who specialized in infertility. She asked so many questions about me and really cared about my situation. I highly recommend her for women who experience infertility, endometriosis, stress and even back pain. Where to start..my life has simply changed since I met Sarai. We have been trying to conceive a little over 2 yrs. now & have been down the IUI road with clomed with no success. I then starting seeing an acupuncturist but with little or no results. I found out about Sarai & her specialty in infertility & have been seeing her for almost 4 months. I have been working on the process of getting pregnant for nearly 3 years. I've been seeing an acupuncturist for the last 2 (not at Axis Acupncture -- another who was good, but not a fertility specialist). Over the last year I was under the care of an ob/gyn and took Clomid, a lot of Clomid. I still was not ovulating and was having severe side effects from the medication. I met Sarai and decided to change acupuncturists. I felt I needed an expert. I was afraid I was too old, too fat, bad reproductive parts -- I don't know, a myriad of impossible to address issues that would keep me from becoming pregnant. Sarai was extremely understanding. She was empathetic about what it means to want to conceive a baby, all the emotional issues that haunt a woman that is having difficulty conceiving, as well as the physical and spiritual aspects of reproductive health. Sarai's acupuncture treatments are amazing. She never seems to be rushed. She always takes time, apparently really wanting to know what went on between treatments! She is the third acupuncturist I've had, and truly the best. I feel wonderful after a treatment. I've been seeing her two months. My cycle is more stable than it has ever been -- and this without western medication. Sarai is lovingly helping me to be the healthiest I can be. I was reluctant to use acupuncture, but after two failed invetro procedures, I was willing to try anything. Sarai has been wonderful. From the moment I met her, I felt like she was in my corner, and it couldn't have come at a better time for me. Since I'm really scared of needles, I really was worried, but she was very understanding and gentle. Now, I'm perfectly okay with the needles, and it is in large part to Sarai working with me. Althought I haven't been successful in my fertility treatments yet, I feel so much better - no more back pain, abdominal pain, neck pain, and emotional distress - and I think we have a really good chance of success with our upcoming fertility treatments, and a big part of that is thanks to Sarai. Her treatments aren't just physical, they're also spiritual. She's helped me to relax in regards to my infertility, and I know that even if it doesn't work, she's done so much to help me accept whatever comes. Sarai is simply the best. If you are looking for a competent acupuncturist (which you should be!) she is the one! Her very clean and comfortable office is welcoming, not cold and she is very down-to-earth and easy to talk to. I highly recommend Sarai! After seeing many doctors and trying several fertelity treatments and unable to conceive, I seeked help with Sarai. I conceived a beautiful BABY GIRL!!!! I highly recommend Sarai and Axis Acupuncture to anyone going through fertility treatments! Sarai is an expert in her field, and at the very least is someone who can listen to you and help you relax during this stressful process. She is very down to earth and her treatment facility is a comfy, spa-like environment. I think women going through fertility treatments spend enough time in doctors' offices, so I enjoy going to see Sarai and getting ""pampered"". While I know that the acupuncture treatments can help with my fertility issues, I also view them as relaxing ""me"" time.
