My flight into Newark Liberty International Airport this past Monday night was delayed and I missed my train as a result. I figured the next best option was to rent a car, so I headed over to the Avis counter, where I received an incredibly rude welcome. After waiting my turn in line, the Avis employee at the counter immediately asked if I was a Preferred Member. When I replied "no", she snapped "then step aside" and proceeded to call up the next customer. So I went next door to Hertz, where they actually wanted my business.
