The food itself is pretty good. The quality of service really depends on the day that you go - my friend was a hostess so I ate here every now and then. Some days the servers were polite and didn't keep you waiting, and other days the servers would appear hungover and pissed off.
However, the reason this restaurant just crashed and burned in my book is a simple accounting issue. I visited on 4/17/11 and my card was charged on 5/5/11. Talk about an unexpected expenditure... What a shame considering I had the money in my pocket at the time of the meal.
When I called to ask a manager why my meal was billed THREE WEEKS LATER, she said there is nothing she can do and it must be an issue with the credit card processing.
Now, I know managers tend to think the general populous is mentally retarded, but I happen to be an expert in merchant service providers. There is not ONE merchant service company that takes more than 24-48 hours to capture credit card funds after the card was authorized at the point of sale.
That means they slacked on putting my credit card order through, or perhaps even adding the tip (EVEN THOUGH I LEFT NO TIP ON MY CARD, I PLACED 20% TIP ON THE TABLE IN CASH).
So now it's my fault that I acquired and overdraft fee. Well of course it is, I should be logging in my checkbook! Silly me. Because of course it's standard for restaurants to forget to bill you for nearly a month.
If you go here pay cash, unless you're well off enough to the point where you can afford to let your bank transactions go rogue.
They said they would have another manager call me back - but I don't want to wait for that. People deserve to know what slop their accounting is.
