tried their speciality weight loss program that uses some space age laser treatment on flabby areas that is supposed to permanently destroy fat cells without requiring surgery. this was in conjunction with some ultrasound, this exercise thingie called a fitvibe, another widget called a jiggler and a suggested maintainable diet plan (includes eating carbs, oils, peanut butter). this was to replace standards methods of weight loss (cardio, weight training, low carb, etc). results? hundreds of $ in wasted gasoline driving back and forth to the middle of nowhere in issaquah, thousands of $ wasted on this program, a hundred hours of time wasted and i'm actually bigger than before (measurements proven). this isn't to say they weren't sympathetic. no, actually the staff were the kindest people i had ever met. and the spa itself is beautiful. try their wine, cheese, tea and coffee. but the results simply weren't there. i suggest if you want to keep the weight off, traditional methods are still better. and besides, for a FRACTION of the cost (400$), i could have bought myself a fitvibe-like machine from costco. more

I just had to write a review about my experience at Avikai. I went in for a laser consultation and had been to 2 other spas in the area that do laser treatments. I chose Avikai because the procedure is done by a licensed physician (Dr. Denice Cinciripini). She was really great to work with, friendly, and pleasant. She recommended a series of treatments for my concerns and did not try to up-sell me on a bigger package or products to buy. My first treatment was the IPL and I was very pleased. I decided that I would indulge, and do laser hair removal, IPL for my face, and some small vein removal on my legs. I chose to finance this through one of the finance options offered. My goal? My girlfriend and I went in for a day at the spa. We had the most amazing experience, it's hard to accurately describe it all. The entry reception is MAGNIFICENT with an elegant grand piano and a delightful staff to greet you. Larry and Dr. Michelle were both there to greet us when we came in. We sat in a private cozy waiting room filling out papers and were offered our choice of teas. There was a great display of Jane Iredale cosmetics (have never seen them around here) and we could sample some of the products. Our massage therapist and aesthetic specialist greeted us with warm, inviting smiles and walked us towards our treatment rooms. I was invited to use the so-sound chair (you GOTTA COME AND SEE THIS), I happily complied and my friend went back for her facial while I floated away in the so-sound chair. When my time in the so-sound chair was over, I was greeted by my massage therapist who took me back to the Bali room where I stared in stunned amazement........a jaccuzi......a shower......a bathroom......massage tables.....and heated tile floors......WOW you have won me over for life Avikai. I was told that there is so much more to Avikai. There are medical doctors who do laser and botox, there is a whole suite dedicated to weight loss and healthy lifestyle recommendations. IT IS SO ELEGANT. Come on ladies from Bellevue and Mercer Island, this spa will offer you more that you could ever imagine. I have been a client at Avikai Spa for over 6 months and I highly recommend experiencing the quality services for yourself. I've traveled the world and was looking for a spa that uses cutting-edge technology to effectively treat acne. Avikai was an answer to my prayers. The results have been remarkable and my family and friends often tell me how clear my skin is now that I've been receiving the facial treatments. The estheticians are highly educated and professional. Their approach to skin care is based on medical treatments that have immediate effects. This is an experience you too will rave about. This is by far one of the coolest and most unique spas I have even seen. It is very advance compared to local NW spas, it has a high end LA/ New York feel and I don't think you can find type of this atmosphere anywhere else in WA. Not only is the spa amazing the the staff and the treatments they offer are unbelievable. I was scared to try spay tan at first, but after my flawless golden glow I am now addicted to sun free tanning! I already lost 5 pounds this month too using only the Fitvibe. Absolutely stunning Spa with alternative and classic services. This spa is one of a kind. I recieve massage and facial treatments here regularly, as well as medical aesthetic treatments. Every time I come in, I am greeted with a nice smile from the front desk as well as my therapist. I have even been able to get same day treatments! I feel like I've been on vacation every time I come. I continue to go to Avikai Spa as well as recommend it to others. This place is worth checking out. They have found a long time client. Avikai's atmosphere and services are definitely worth checking out. I live in Seattle and it is very quick and easy drive to the spa, (between 15 and 20 minutes from downtown Seattle). I recently tried the "day at the beach" package and I walked out feeling (and looking) like I had actually been on vacation. My treatment included an amazing facial, full body exfoliating scrub in a wet room, spray tan and relaxing 30 minutes in the so-sound chair. I was nervous about the spray tan, but it looks so natural and it completely evened out my skin tone! I celebrated my 30th birthday at Avikai last year and they created a specialized itinerary for me and my 8 best girlfriends. After our spa services, we had tea and snacks in the VIP lounge. Every time I go to this spa, I feel like a queen. It is a truly unique and luxurious oasis. more

Avikai Spa was not a name known to me and I thought I knew about all the cool things that the plateau and Issaquah have to offer. My friends surprised me with a gift certicate for my 42nd birthday in April '08 and it has now turned into one of my favorite places to escape to. Hidden behind the GI Joe's, it is an oasis unto itself with @ 10,000 square feet of cool things to try -- fit vibe machines, music therapy, tropical retreat rooms (did a Sat AM for another friend's 41st birthday party which was divine), detoxing devices and simply great instruction on how to lead a more well managed and less taxing lifestyle. I try and go 3x a week to use the fit vibe which allows me an excellent all around muscle conditioning work out that I can basically do in my work clothes and while chatting with others. They have introduced yoga and belly dancing classes recently and I cannot wait to take them. The difference between Avikai and the others is simply that this place knows my name, my concerns, my friends, my likes/dislikes, my skin type, weight issues, etc.. and has consistently made me and others that I refer feel welcomed. It is unusual in a time of feeling rushed and often like a number, that this place makes me feel welcomed.. often with a cup of green tea and cheese and crackers to start, maybe ending with a glass of red wine and almonds.. whatever, it just works and I would highly reccomend giving it a try if you want something different and special all in one! I started visiting Avikai a year ago, and have been hooked ever since. The owners are extremely knowledgeable and passionate about all of the services they offer. They truly create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. If there would ever be a bad review of Avikai I probably wouldn't believe it.... Hands down one of the most unique and best spas that I have been to. The owner is not only amazing at what she does, but she is also one of the most passionate, caring and inspiring women I have ever met! I came to Avikai to escape the challenge and stress of everyday life (via wonderful massages & facials) and discovered a whole new way of living through education on healthy eating, weight loss and the unbelievable benefits of FitVibe! You will find that working out via Fitvibe ~ 20 minutes (equivalent to working out ~ hour and one half) 2-3 days a week will soon see a new YOU! Truly! June of 2006 is when I first discovered Avikai for a private party for my cousin's bachelorette party per say. I normally don't do spas (even though I'm 25) because I haven't had the best of experiences. Well, something clicked and left a peice of nastolgia in the back of my mind becuase ever since I joined my cousin's little private party, I haven't been able to get Avikai off my mind. I work full time and travel and stress is unfortunately a daily routine in my life. The staff first off, is what makes this place glow. Michelle, the founder is so talented, open minded and passionate about improving the quality of life. I didn't know it was her idea nor her project to bring Avikai to life. It's much more than just a spa, in fact, I don't even like calling it a spa, but it has such qualities that make it hard to resist the "spa temptations". I've gotten a professional air brushed tan for a film shoot I had down in LA...was incrediable especially how difficult my body shape is. I've had 2 different facials and keep up a skin regemine using NeoStrata products they carry that trully works. From the moment I call and walk in I'm treated as a friend, but even more so as someone special, sort of celebutant. The services and products offered are more than just a quick fix, it's sort of medication for the soul. Every time I'm stressed out, I can only think, when can I make another apt and I know they'll willing to fit me in on short notice. Honestly, Avikai is worth the money, drive and time. It's more than a spa, its an awakening escape from the mundane and the usual traffic congested freeways. I recommended them to my mother and made her a believer as do I recommend them to anyone and everyone for they trully are the best. more

With friendly staff and a relaxed yet sofisticated atmosphere, this spa is great! I have been to a number of evening social functions and have had a massage at Avikai. I have heard rave reviews from people who have used their medical aesthetics and natural weight-loss programs. This is a real gem in the heart of Issaquah, and I encourge anyone looking for a quality medical spa experience to check it out! Something which makes Avikai even better is that it is also a family owned/operated business. Dr. Turcotte, the spa owner and director, obviously really cares about her clients and works with them to customize services to their needs. I am considering purchasing a membership (I believe they call it a VIP membership which qualifies for spa discounts and benfits) and using Avikai's services as the central part of my company's corporate wellness plan. more

I very much enjoyed my spa experience here, and the staff was lovely. I was given some very nice options for the facial, and the masseuse knew how to work the right muscle groups without being too forceful. Just had a great couples massage with my wife today in the Bali room! Beautiful environment, great people. And not just a massage - the room has a bath for two and huge shower, and you get to stay there and relax after your massage. We had a great time! more

I went to this spa a while ago and I had a great time at the spa, it was big and spacious and very quiet. My massage with Jacky was super, I would recommend her to anyone who has problems with their upper back. the only downside to this spa are the prices. it's a little steep, and I can't say for the rest of the services but the Jacky's massage was well worth it.
