I came in Avid Academy for a Teachers Assistant position and I was very satisfied with the service. The lady who assisted me was very nice and concise with her questions. She was also understanding towards my international status and was willing to learn more about my situation to see if their employment process was able to accommodate such circumstances. I suggest future candidates to look through their website thoroughly. more

starting from summer camp recommended by her elementary school, Dr. Li has changed my daughter from a student who likes math to a student who's good at math. Both Dr. Li and Mrs. Li are very caring; knowing exactly what kind of student my daughter is. With OCMC, AMC/AIME classes, and more, she has improved drastically. without them, she would not have been able to become the person she is today. Both of us look forward to future classes and counseling, and thank you for everything. more

The best investment 6/6/2013

My son and daughter have been in the math program for 5 and 3 years, respectively. Dr. Li is an excellent teacher and committed to the success of each of his students. He teaches each class and knows every student. He has an amazing ability to reach and inspire the best and teach critical problem solving skills. I have witnessed tremendous growth in math performance and self confidence. Without a doubt, Avid Academy has been the best investment in their education. more

My son is in Dr. Li's math class for a year. Dr. Li is the best teacher that he ever had. Dr. Li inspired him and encouraged him to bring out the best for him in math. As the parents, we can see his math improving dramatically. We really appreciate it. It is a life time wonderful learning experience for him. more

My son's experience with Mrs. Li during his entire high school career and especially during college application season has been a life-changing one. The words of wisdom, advice, and tips Mrs. Li has given him were helpful towards achieving and exceeding his goals of getting in the college he wished to envision himself in. I always recommend Avid 3/12/2013

The best thing I did for my older son is to sign him up for Avid Academy. My son joined Avid since he was 8 years old. Ever since he enjoyed every lesson at Avid and made a lot of good friends there. Dr. Li is one of the smartest people I ever met and Mrs. Li is loving and detailing. I will sign up my second one when he is ready. more

Mrs. Li: Incredible Counseling and Exceptional Dedication 2/13/2013

I started counseling with Mrs. Li two years ago. She helped me lay out a plan and stick to it, which I didn’t understand before, but now appreciate. She became the only one I went to when I had any questions during the process, and even checked each of my applications word by word. When I got accepted to my top choice Ivy League school, she was the first one outside of my family that I called. Mrs. Li truly cares, and has the persistence to help students to achieve their goals. Dr. Li and Mrs. Li's program provides directions and step by step guidance for college bound students to achieve their goals. The programs are well designed to fit the particular student to bring up his/her potentials. Under their guidance my child formed a solid plan and has been achieving well results. We are very happy about this program. more

With two kids in Avid over several years, we have learned a lot from Dr. Li and Mrs. Li about what to plan for the future - courses, scholarly competitions, services, research, summer, and many other activities. Each time we meet with him, we get new ideas that we should have known or thought about. more

Even though I wasn't a customer of Avid Academy of Gifted Youth, I can tell that Dr. Li has guided many students to future success. I had an interview with him and I know what he expects out of the staff in order for them to give their full support to the students of the academy. more

The best thing that I have done for my son 11/29/2011

Is to enroll him in Avid. Avid not only teaches him math, but also brings him to a community that fills with top talent kids. If your kids like math, I strongly recommend Avid. more

A Different Kind of Academy 8/31/2011

When you think of a math academy, you will normally envision a place where you get packets to keep drilling on. On the contrary, Avid Academy provides challenging and insightful problems for gifted students who are either going for math competitions, or just want to challenge themselves in outside of schoolwork. You have to try it to believe it. more

Worth the time and money for talented kids 6/8/2011

Excellent course guidance and a path to success for kids who have the aptitude and dedication. Classes are pretty rigourous and challenging even for the smarter kids. more
