The Avenue restaurant is located right on the main "strip" of Gettysburg's tourist destination, Steinwehr Avenue. Parking is a bit dicey (there is a small parking lot behind the restaurant, though you have to look closely for the entrance immediately after the restaurant--it looks more like an alley than an entrance for parking). Do yourself a favor and be sure to put money in the meter if you decide to park on the street: the meter maids in Gettysburg are vicious and will ticket you if you are 30 seconds beyond your paid time. The food at The Avenue is good and basic far, though their crab chowder rises well above average. I prefer to eat lunch here, when it's not too crowded.
