SECURITY THUGS 12/4/2009

I had my wedding at Avenue this sunmer and it was beautiful. The food and atmosphere was great. I booked the nightclub for my wedding until 10:00 p.m. but at 9:30 me and several my guests were being physically pushed out the doors by the brutal security staff. One of my guests was kicked in the leg and another was cursed at by the security staff. The head of security, Aaron, actually followd my wife into the ladies stall and threatened to arrest her because she went to the ladies room in the locker room. I am still considering filing a lawsuit againt these thugs. Five months after my weddi my guests still complain about the way they were treated by the security staff. Great place for a summer wedding but plan on shelling out some money. BEWARE of the security THUGS!!! Pros: food, atmosphere Cons: brutal security guards more

Without a doubt the best restaurant on the shore. Great staff. Great servers. Great bartenders. Great management. Excellent cuisine. Beautiful decor and fantastic view. What else needs to be said? Pros: All Great! more

Stay Away 7/28/2008

The most over-hyped, over-priced, shallow venue on the Jersey Shore. Food quality was very poor for the price. Service was mediocre. bathroom was filthy.There are way better places out there. Try Julias on First Avenue in Atlantic Highlands...fantastic food and no attitude. Pros: Ambience, view Cons: Parking, clientele, poor quality food for the price more

Best at the shore 4/18/2008

I have lived in Monmouth County my whole life and have seen many restaurants fail to impress.Avenue is not one of these restaurants. Anyone who knows great French Food,good value, qualty service and has an appreciation for the ultimate dining experience, should be a regular at this place. \r \r Pros: Wine, Food, Atmospere & Ocean views. more

Fine Dining at the Jersey Shore 4/16/2008

The perfect spot if your looking for great food and a fabulous view. My husband and I had dinner at Avenue for the first time last week and were very impressed. The location couldn't be better with its breathtaking view of the Atlantic and the decor sophisticated and welcoming. Everything we ordered from appetizers to dessert were delicious and beautifully prepared. I especially enjoyed the braised ribs which were out of this world. We found the staff to be very friendly and knowledgeable of all their menu items. Avenue is definitely joining our list of favorite restaurants. Pros: Ambience, Service, Food more

Jersey at its BEST 4/16/2008

Avenue is a great restaurant with incredible oceanfront views. The decor is stylish and the staff is friendly and very knowledgeable. My husband and I enjoyed the extensive menu and our meals were fantastic. I recommend the potato crusted halibut which was absolutely delectable. It?s great to experience dining like this at the Jersey Shore. Looking forward to going back soon. more

A Perfect Choice!!!! 4/15/2008

Last weekend my friends surprised me with a birthday dinner @ Avenue. I could not have asked for a better place to celebrate. We started off by enjoying a martini by the bar. Once seated our friendly and knowledgeable waiter gave us some recommendations. We decided to go with the flow and let him choose our selections. Since I was the birthday girl I was able to sample from everyone's dishes. Everything I tasted was Delicious...from the shrimp to the steak!!! Then after a wonderful meal we enjoyed a night of calorie burning dancing upstairs @ Le Club. I think we just found our new Jersey Jem!!!! more

Chic Ambiance on the Beach 4/15/2008

The ambiance was spectacular. It was like being in a chic Manhattan restaurant but right on the beach here in New Jersey. I found the staff to be extremely friendly and attentive. They recommended a wonderful wine from there extensive wine list which complemented the salmon I had ordered perfectly. The salmon was cooked to perfection and plated elegantly. Great night out at the Avenue on Saturday. \r The bar was a great spot to have a cocktail and some raw bar apps before dinner.\r Our table had beautiful ocean views. Great place to hold a meeting 4/7/2008

I have the wonderful opportunity to host a meeting last week @ Le Club in the afternoon. We had a working lunch and several speakers presented information. The food was fantastic and the service was perfect. We finished the meeting with dessert that were hand made and out of this world. It was one of the most productive meeting we have every had. The view of the ocean and great staff made our day. We enjoyed our expereince so much we enede up starying for dinner. View and Customer Service 4/7/2008

I have only been at Avenue a few times but I have never been disappointed with the experience. The view is incredible and the staff is very knowledgeable. I had several questions about the wine list and they answered every question in detail. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable with regards to the menu. I had the salmon and found it to be exceptional. I would recommend Avenue to anyone who enjoys a great view with a fabulous meal. more

Best spot at the shore... 4/7/2008

Wow! Fine dining at the Jersey Shore is back in full force in Long Branch. Their menu is much different than the normal seafood and summer fare typically found near seasonal summer destinations. Pier Village in general has proven to be a year round hot spot, and Avenue compliments the overall setting by continuing the general upscale vibe of the place. It doesn't get much better than their Raw Bar. The staff is well versed on the menu and I have found their wine parings excellent as well. The Rabbit appetizer is pretty much ""to die for""... more

The decor is sophisticated and beautiful with amazing views of the beach and ocean. Food was delicious and well preared and the service was excellent. Great selection of fish and nice raw bar. Extensive wine list and the server made great recommendations. After dinner there is an awsome night club upstairs to keep the party going. more

Great customer service 4/7/2008

Beautifully designed with a charming central fireplace. The music and lighting definitley set the mood but don't overwhelm. There are terrific views of the ocean from inside but you can eat right on the boardwalk and people watch during the spring and summer. Great restaurant. Food was creative and well prepared. The service was attentive and friendly. The location overlooking the Atlantic was brethtaking. A rare find in the metro area. Would highly recommend this restaurant. Spent a bunch of nights there by the fireplace this winter and plan to be back there all summer. more

Amazing!! 4/7/2008

The Avenue decor and view are spectacular! The staff is extremely friendly and courteous. I was there two weeks ago and had the Potato Crusted Halibut and it was delicious, however everything I have tried on the menu has been exceptional. There martinis are excellent and the wine list extensive....I highly recommend Avenue to anyone looking for an evening of lively ambiance and amazing food. A favorite! 3/12/2008

I have been to Avenue often since they opened and always enjoy my dining experience.\r The food is delicious with lots of interesting choices. Last night I tried the wild boar and it was amazing. The bananas foster dessert is now officially my favorite!\r All of the servers are professional and helpful with menu questions and wine suggestions.\r I always look forward to being there.\r more

My husband and I went to Avenue for dinner and were blown away with the atmosphere. And the food was outrageous. For our dessert we sat by the fireplace and watched the waves crash on the beach. There is nothing like it at the Jersey Shore. more
