This company is owner operated. One of the oweners came in personally to give an estimate. He was very friendly and straight forward and did not try to sell me anything extra. I needed brown doors which other companys (Anaheim Garage Door and Mesa Garage Doors) had told me it would take 7-8 weeks to get. Avaunt got it in less than a week. The price for very similar products by Anaheim and Mesa was over $600.00 cheaper. This company is not big and does not have subcontractors and sales people. After researching and meeting with several garage door companies within Orange County we went with the recommendation of our Architect to go with Avaunt Garage Doors. Working with Avaunt was one of the best and smartest moves we have ever made. Morgan and Justin worked with us on the custom design of our wood doors and coordinating courtyard gates. The doors and gates are perfection! And it wasn't easy as Morgan made several revisions to the plans, without complaint or extra cost, per our request and several on-site visits to ensure that we would be happy with the final product. Justin was prompt, friendly and knowledgeable, however, they neglected to give me a very important piece of information up front. There is an $85 service call charge, by far the highest of the 6 companies I called. For 15 minutes of work maximum, which basically consisted of tightening a few nuts which I had already identified and replacing 2 bolts, some lubricating and a check of the opener. Just seems overpriced to me, especially since they are only about 1 1/2 miles away. more

I was tempted by a low price garage replacement company and man was that a big mistake. I thought I'd end up saving a couple hundred bucks, but it cost me more!!
