The AVATAR experience literally begins when you walk in.Clean atmosphere,very courteous staff-quite the reprieve from some of the other Dominican"nameless"outfits in SS.Cassandra is a master at her hairstyling craft.Only flaw is lack of convenient parking,and kinda steep prices.Otherwise, this is the place to go if you want"good hurr" more

1st Time...Good Experience! 11/8/2011

I've only had the opportunity to visit Avatar just once, but even for my first time, I was very pleased! It's been years since I've tried a new salon, as it's hard to find a place that will treat your hair well; but overall, the service was great, the atmosphere was pleasant, & my stylist was very accommodating! Spent a little more than what I'm used to, BUT was pleased with the results. Also, I didn't have to spend 3+ hours there either! I'd honestly go back again...looking to reschedule soon! Looking forward to a second visit... more

I had my first experience with Avatar a couple weeks ago. The staff were all courteous and I was attended to very quickly. I was very happy with both ladies that washed and styled my hair. I look forward to going back. more

I have been a customer of Avatar since 2005. The service is professional and quick. When receiving service, someone is working on your hair from start to finish so that you are not left waiting. My hair is completed to my satisfaction and I'm always receiving compliements from the public regarding my hair. more

Excellent hair care 11/3/2011

I have been going to Avatar (to see Bruce the owner or Yeama) for years. They provide excellent hair care, color, highlights, twists sets, etc. The salon also offers little extras like, wine on some evenings, bagels on the weekends, bottled water, etc. The salon is typically pretty timely. Now if they could only offer validation for the parking (which is about 4 -8 dollars depending on how long you are in the garage), it would be 5 star. more

Oustanding Service and Atmosphere 10/28/2011

I love the Excellent service provided at Avatar. The stylists are professional and continues to hone their skills, and therefore have the trendiest styles available. Yet, they understand their clientele and truly cater to their specific needs. The atmosphere is welcoming and friendly. I recommend this Salon and Spa to everyone I know. more
