I went into the Avanti salon yesterday to get my hair dyed and after an initial experience with a rogue stylist that was... unsatisfactory, I went home feeling robbed and unhappy. While the rogue stylist was mutilating my color, another incredibly nice stylist, Alexis, did my eyebrows. As soon as I got home, there was a message from the salon on my machine asking me if they could make amends for my bad dye job and poor treatment. I went back in, and Alexis, the stylist who had done my eyebrows, spent three hours fixing my hair for half the original price. I spoke to the owner of the salon, and was assured that the rogue stylist would be dealt with. Everyone in the place had been appalled when I had left earlier in the afternoon that I had been allowed to walk out the door looking so bad, and they jumped at the chance to call me and make things right. I was extremely impressed by how kind everyone was, (everyone but the rogue stylist, whom I'm assuming has been given a stern reprimand, at least. it's up to them to deal with her.) I would, of course, recommend that when you go there, you ask to see Alexis, because not only was she fantastic at her job, but she was also very personable, fun to talk to, and she actually cared about whether I was happy with how my hair turned out. These are all qualities that one looks for in a hairdresser, and it helps one to have a positive experience and feel great when they see the finished product. Despite the rocky start, she'll definitely be my hairstylist from now on. Both she, and the salon, really went out of their way to make things right with me, and I appreciate it greatly. Avanti has a great reputation, as far as I'm concerned. I love my new hair, too. Thanks for fixing me, Alexis!
Pros: Staff was like a family, extremely nice/skilled stylist (alexis)
