very good homestyle Italian 1/20/2006

Surprisingly delicate sauces and very fresh seafood. The ceasar salad was a hair overdressed - but ok. Wine list is very limited, but a fine selection of inexpensive and mid-ranged Italian wines. Very busy for a winter night, but promt good service. more

Excellent Italian 7/23/2005

Avanti, My friends and I recently visited the Oregon coast for a week-long vacation. Choosing a different dining experience each day, we chose Avanti on the 4th day and didn't stop talking about how great it was the rest of our trip. We truly enjoyed our dining experience! Being a vegetarian, I sometimes have limited choices from menus - Not the case at Avanti! My difficulty was in choosing from the wide variety of vegetarian dishes offered. Our meal was the best Italian fare we've had - ever - and we will certainly stop by next time we visit the Oregon Coast. The service was just what we wanted and we even got hugs from Mom before we left. Mille Grazie! Pros: authentic, flavorful, personal service more

Great place for dinner for 2 5/26/2005

In LC its hard to have a romantic dinner. Most of the restaurant are for families. Avanti has after 6 a nice quiet dinningroom seperated into quiet sections made for holding hands. Excellent food, warm and gracious hostess. Definitly a must. more

Wonderful! 5/1/2005

My husband and I were visiting L.City last Wednesday, and when trying to decide where to go for dinner we decided to try your establishment (menu in motel lobby). We got to your restaurant 15 minutes before you closed and ordered take-out; calamari, seafood fettuccine & linguine w/ clam sauce. It was WONDERFUL! Not only was the food delicious, but the service was great. We will definitely visit you again!! Pros: great food, family owned, ocean view more

I came, I saw, I dined 4/23/2005

I visited this restaurant in late June and was overwhelmed by how well our meals were prepared and tasted. I love Italian cuisine and I've been to quite a few of the so-called ""best places"" in Oregon, but I feel that the meal I had rates as the best in Oregon.
