Extremely Satisfied for the past 4 Years!!! 1/22/2011

Ive been going to Avancea for the past 4 years. Usually i get a cut and color , the color is done impeccably and lasts for months and the cut is always the perfect length. Stephanie and her staff are all very friendly , welcoming and treat you like family. It is one of those places where I can go in and tell Stephanie to do whatever she wants and I always love it. I am a junior in high school and before every semi-formal and prom Stephanie does my hair , it always comes out perfect and is the envy of all the other girl in my grade. I cant stress enough how amazing this salon is , I look forward to going here in the years to come. more

Fabulous Cut and Color! 10/5/2010

I've been going to Avancea Salon for about 2 years and Stephanie always does a Fantastic job! I have my license also, so I can be very picky, but she always exceeds my expectations. My first visit I wanted a change from below the shoulder length to really short crop cut and Stephanie did an Amazing job. This last time after letting my hair grow long again, I had Stephanie cut it short and started to get nervous that she was going a little too short, but again she exceeded my expectations and the cut was Rockin! I've learned to trust her judgement and let her go...I get tons of compliments on the cut and color on a daily basis thanks to Stephanie!!! more

Happy Brunette 7/15/2009

I first visited avancea with a botched blonde highlight, luckily it was VERY easy to get a fast appointment only the day after i called. After reading good reviews i decided to see STEPHANIE the salon ower who masters in corrective coloring! My hair was finally back to normal and i was so pleased with the results :) Later on that night (on my date <3) my boyfriend couldnt stop kissing me because he said i smelled like strawberries. It wasnt until later on the next day when i styled my hair with my new product that Stephanie recommended i realized it smelled like strawberries! Pros: Extremely friendly and professional more

Best Hair Salon on the north shore 1/25/2009

Avancia hair salon is amazing! I have been going there for 2 and half years and would not think about going anywhere else. Not only do they have the best stylists they treat you as a friend from the moment you walk in the door. I can bet my life on it if you give them a try you will not be disappointed and I guarentee you will go back over and over again! Pros: Fun, and very clean salon! more

Best Hair Cuts! 1/7/2009

I used to never have a regular hairdresser, so I just went from salon to salon randomly. However, when I went to Avancea for the first time, I had found my new hair salon. They have done updos for proms and regular haircuts, and I always come out very satisfied. I am now a regular customer and look forward to getting my hair done. The friendly atmosphere and exceptional cut are very much worth a trip to Avancea salon. Pros: Easy to find, friendly atmosphere, and skilled hairdressers more

A True Master Stylist! 11/20/2008

A true master of her craft! I have been seeing Stephanie since her debut into the hair styling industry and have never looked back. She continues to amaze me with her perfect hair stylings and the friendliest service you have ever had. I have recommended several people, both men and women, to Stephanie and all have come back with raving reviews. We all started off as customers and have now become close friends and loyal fans. Her staff is very knowledgeable, professional, and most importantly... personable. I would highly recommend making an appointment today. I guarantee that you too will not look back! more

Stephanie is the best!!!!! 11/10/2008

I have always had a hard time finding someone that could give me a hair cut that I liked. Well when I met Stephanie back in 2002/2003 when she was working in Stoneham had finally found the hair stylist that I had been looking for. When I went for my first hair cut with her I felt completly comfortable and trusted her right away, when she asked what I was looking for I told her to do what she thought might work for best for me. And let me tell you it was the best hair cut I had ever had. I have been going to her ever since. I love going to her salon everyone there is friendly and professional. I will never go anywhere else. I consider Stephanie not only the best stylist but a good friend. more

The best haircut ever. 10/30/2008

I have followed Steph for years. Since I met her in 2002 I have not let anyone else touch my hair. My hair is curly, and very few people know how to cut it- I either end up with a cut that makes me look like a tent or I end up with an huge ball of frizz. She also cuts my mom's hair and my best friend's hair (both pin straight). And when I need my hair done up for a special occasion I let her do what she wants, and it is always amazing. At this point I have converted everyone in my family and most of my friends in the area to go to Avancea. more

A true hair care professional right in Wakefield Center! 10/28/2008

I have followed Stephanie for over 5 years, and have traveled from Swampscott to Wakefield every week since she opened her own salon back in 2005. She has kept her clients throughout the years and there is reason for that. When you find someone who does your hair the way you like it, you stick with them. I am so proud of what she has accomplished in opening her own salon. To me, it is well worth the travel, even with kids in tow! Her salon keeps me coming back because of their professional service and friendly, clean environment. Her expertise in hair coloring is always individualized to her clients needs, and all of the staff there keeps up to date with the latest hair care products and styles. My 5 year old son gets his hair cut by Cassandra and gets so excited to go and wear their sea creature cape, he truely loves going to get a buzz cut! I highly recommend this salon, you won't be disappointed! more

Stephanie is the best hairdresser EVER!! 10/27/2008

I was devastated when my last hairdresser had to move away however it turned out to be the best thing ever!! I now have the BEST hairdresser EVER right at the end of my street. I was most nervous to have someone new expressing themselves on my hair, however she sat me down, talked about what I wanted and she made me look better than I could have ever imagined. She was quick, efficient, and did an excellent job! Her prices are more than fair to compensate for her experience and knowledge. The salon is beautiful and all remodeled, looks great! If you're looking for a reasonably priced haircut that will make you look gorgeous, go to Avancea and ask for Steph! Pros: the whole experience is AWESOME!! just do it!! more

Best place to get a hair cut 9/25/2008

I first walked into the Avancea hair salon about a year ago, desperate for someone to cut my hair. To my luck Stephanie (the owner) squeezed me in, and I haven't left since as she did a wonderful job. She not only is great at coloring, styling, and cuts, but is also extremely personable and friendly. The salon itself is very clean, and offers great services! Great cut, great vibe 9/24/2008

I usually get my haircut in Los Angeles (because that's where I live), but I came home to Massachusetts to visit my family. I needed a haircut and had heard great things about this cool salon in the center of Wakefield. I attempted a walk-in and was met with a really sweet girl at the desk. When I told them I just needed a trim, the owner, Stephanie, was gracious to fit me in and give me a cut. She did a great job with my hair. She even styled it great afterwards. Which is tough because usually I'll leave a salon and have to restyle it afterwards. Great cut, great vibe....quick but not rushed. I wish Avancea was in LA!!! Excellent Service 6/2/2008

My girlfriend recently got a cut and color at Avancea. Not only were the prices reasonable, but the work was impeccable. They really know what they are doing there. The location was great as well and parking was easy. I would definately reccomend this to anybody. Pros: Great service, Friendly environment Cons: None immediately more
