Avalon Salon Spa

I live near by but go to college 3 hours away and wanted to go home for the weekend and get my hair cut. The place I normally go to was closed so I randomly picked Avalon because I knew they would be open on sundays. I made an appointment for 2:45. My mom and I wandered around deer park for a few hours wasting time until it was time for my appointment. When 2:40 rolled around I went inside to say that I was there. I was told the women that would be cutting my hair would be running late. I waited a few minutes to then be told that she is running FORTY minutes late. I have NEVER heard of this before especially coming from a "professional" salon. Keep in mind that they have my cell phone number so they could have called to warn me so I was not wandering around the mall aimlessly for hours. I would have made an appointment for another salon if I knew this Avalon was going to be so UNPROFESSIONAL and RUDE. I will never go to Avalon again due to the poor service and unprofessional people that work there. if you would like to get a haircut at the time you scheduled it, you probably shouldn't go there either. more

I had a pedicure from a lady at Avalon, it far exceeded any I've had in my life. I didn't realize the amount of comfort it could give to my feet. I don't usually write letters, but this was the best I've ever had, and I've had quite a few, being a diabetic I take good care of my feet. World class is what I would rate it. more

This place will make you feel special, even if you go in on a day when you don't think that you are! I've gotten a mani and pedi here and been treated like royalty. Their massage chairs are fabulous, the foot and hand massage were so relaxing I could have easily fallen asleep. Next time I have a really tough day at work I may just go in here for a foot massage alone! more

I received a massage from Joann at Avalon (which is an Aveda salon and spa), and what a personalized and comfortable experience it was! In the past, I have felt uncomfortable at other salons who didn't take the time to ask what style of massage I prefer, or which areas I would like to focus on. This massage therapist made it such a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere for me, that I know where I'll be going the next time my body is worn down and I need to relax and re-energize! I highly recommend this salon (and massage therapist) to all who are in need of stress relief. more
