Serious issue 7/10/2013

We have had maintenance on all three of our cars here for a few years and have always had good service. We recently had to have new brake calipers, rotors and pads installed on the rear wheels. When the car was picked up, the squealing from the wheels was extremely loud. Upon immediately returning to the shop, the mechanic identified the problem as pad retaining clips rubbing a rotor and made an adjustment. Upon driving the car out again, the other side was squealing loudly and upon immediate return, we found the shop had closed for the evening. We took the car home and back to the shop the next morning, but the new rotors were already grooved by the improperly installed pads. To their credit, they fully honored their warranty and immediately ordered and installed new rotors. The brakes seem to be working well now. A road test after the first install would have tipped off the mechanic to a problem and perhaps saved the first rotors and saved us some time. more

Twisted off lug stud 6/9/2013

The car was taken in for diagnosis of squealing brakes. The first diagnosis was inconclusive, with the technician saying he thought dust behind the pads was causing the noise. While putting the wheel back on, he twisted off one of the lug studs. When the car was returned later in the day to have the lug stud replaced, another technician drove the vehicle and diagnosed the problem as a failing rear brake caliper. more

Nice and Respectful 10/22/2012

Every time I've used this business, I've been treated with respect, and the mechanics really seem to care about fixing whatever problem my car may have. As a feminine, dumb-looking, teenage girl, I've had trouble with similar businesses treating me like I'm stupid or that I'm of very little concern which has not been that case at Auto Care. : ) more

I have over 202,000 miles on my car and Auto Care has a lot to do with it! I love the convenience of their courtesy pickup service too! I trust their workmanship and will continue to take my car there. I would not hesitate to recommend Autocare to family and friends! more

The people that work there are always so friendly and nice. It's like that evertime that I go in. I also like the way that the technician comes out and lets you know everything that they found on your car that needs attention. I can't always take care of it that day, but al least I know about it and can to take care of it as soon as I can. more

Never again!! 7/17/2012

Charge me $1000.00 and made repairs to the wrong side of my truck. Then wanted to charge me an extra $140.00 to do work on the side they were suppose to fix in the first place. This is in addition to the nearly $1500.00 that I have already paid them this year alone. Should have known better than to ever go back there!!! Stay clear of the place. more

Emergency Brake pushed on my car ... 5/27/2012

Overall I've been pleased with the service provided. This time however, after driving for a few minutes, I noticed the Emergency Brake (EB) light on the dash, and quickly released it. This really upset me, because last time I got service at Auto Care, I was told that my brakes had gotten worn down because the car had been driven with the EB on, and it cost several hundred dollars for this. In my opinion the EB should rarely if ever, be used, and certainly NOT in a flat parking lot. If I find out that my brakes are messed up because I drove some with the EB activated, I will not be happy. In fact, I think I will bring the care in soon to have your people look at that.
