Don't bother with Courtesy Ford if you have a bankruptcy and no money down. In spite of my being honest with them regarding my credit history, they still invited me to come down and look at a car. The original car I had contacted them about had been ""sold"". I agreed to look at the other car, which I just loved. They ran my credit before I even got there. I put in a credit app. I also told them I did not want to put any money down. The purchase price of the car and taxes would have been financed by anyone as the total amount was right at the retail blue book price. They told me they would call the next day and let me know if I was financed. I did not take the car. I never received a call back from them. I called 2 days later and I was told they were still waiting to hear from the bank. I was also told that I had a good chance of getting a 15% interest rate even with my bankruptcy. They told me they would have my salesman call the next day as he was off. I waited until 2pm for a call back and finally called. I was forced to leave a vm for my salesman. Lo and behold, I received a vm back from stating that the car had been sold the day after I looked at it, but they were having a sale in a couple of weeks!!! WTF??? I called and spoke to a manager who said they do not hold cars, even after you've gone down and put in a credit app for it. He asked if I wanted them to keep looking...I told him to go to H***. Not now, not ever, will I go back to Courtesy Ford. Apparently if you don't have 1,000 down payment that they can keep after you've taken the car home and can't get financed, they won't bother with you. There are too many dealerships out there that can help people like me rebuild their credit. Screw Courtesy Ford.
