To my surprise 6/9/2011

In May 2011 I had my transmission in my 2001 F350 go out for the second time. Ron and Gary at The Transmission Man had done a complete rebuild on it the first time. Now a year later the transmission fail I thought great this is going to be a battle to get them to warranty the work. To my surprise Ron honored my warranty even thou it had expired by a month. Turned out to be a structural issue with my transmission he only charged for the parts and I was on the road again. Service, Quality, and Honor these are things seldom found in business today and inspired me to write this review. Thank You Again Tony S. Santa Clarita CA more

Transmission Man has done a lot of work on my car over last three or so years. Ron has always done a great job. Anytime I have had trouble, which is very unusual, he has been Johnny-on-the-spot taking care of it. They always get me out on time and back on the road. Michael Daniels more

Ron, at Transmission Man, has always been pretty accommodating. I can pull in anytime, and he will take care of me. I feel like he is honest, and my car was great when I got it back. Because he is a friend, it is nice to be able to recommend someone to him when I have already had experience with the shop. more

New Clutch in one day saved my Windsurfing trip. 7/8/2009

Transmission Man, Valencia. Thank you Ron for fixing my clutch in one day. After sitting in traffic up the grade on the Interstate 5 my clutch on my F150 burnt out. AAA towing driver Rick recommended the ?Transmission Man? in Valencia and towed me there. In the morning I arranged over the phone to have the whole clutch and slave cylinder replaced. Ron was able to even do the machining ?on site? with his newly purchased equipment. With only one day lost, I salvaged my windsurfing trip to the Sacramento Delta. The clutch feels like new again, and I am good for another 135,000 miles. Ron is AAA recommended, and even gave me a discount for my membership In AAA. Thanks Andrew and Sheila Burton more

Quotes $40 charged me $142 lied about the gear oil type over charged me 2 quarts and put the wrong fluid in the transmission 2/26/2009

I went to get my 1972 Datson 240z Z u joint looked at Valencia, CA Transmission Man by Ron. They were checked out the U-joints and they told me they were ok. Then I had asked Ron how much it would cost to replace my manual transmission and differential gear oil. Ron told me it would be around $40. I agreed and he told me to come back in an hour. When I came back I went into the office and they told me it was 143.00. I was shocked by the price but still paid it because they already did the work and I went home and researched the cost of Mobil 1 75w-90w non synthetic quart of gear oil. We had a problem with our transmission and we took our car here. The estimate and repairs were reasonable and we haven't had a problem since. It is so nice to have work done professionally and efficiently. more

Very professional 8/11/2006

The transmission in my car started acting up, so we took it to The Transmission Man. He assessed the problem, wrote up an estimate, and said it would be done in two days. \r \r When we went to pick it up two days later, he was under his estimate! We were thrilled. \r \r About 2 weeks later we were having a problem again with the transmission slipping. We took it back in, he fixed it - turns out there was a faulty piece in the new transmission - and we haven't had a problem since. \r \r He offers a very nice warranty on his work and parts, and the prices seem reasonable.
