Overtorqued adjuster bolt on Alternator 6/10/2012

Overtorqued adjuster bolt on Alternator & it broke. Left pivot bolt nut loose & it came off. Alternator belt became "glazed" due to slippage. Wound up spending $670 when the battery went dead as alternator not working from all this. Had to replace alternator + belt + adjuster bolt. Owner wouldn't compensate me for shoddy work.
