You know, this kind of assembly line thing for robots would be just fine. Humans are usually regarded as a little more complicated. But not Simone. (You dont mind if I call you Si...

Not recommended 5/21/2008

Saw a different PA every time. Almost never saw the doctor. Lots of waiting and poor treatment. more

Impersonal, brisk, and impatient 5/6/2008

I have been to Dr. Scumpia's office twice now. The first time, I saw the other doctor there, who is very nice but not very informed on my condition. She ordered several tests and said she'd make sure to note that I had to see Dr. Scumpia on my next visit, when they'd go over all the results of the tests with me. I would go back to that doctor when she gets more experience, but not to Dr. Scumpia. Pros: the other doctor there is nice, comfortable waiting room, good lab staff on site Cons: tense office staff, impersonal doctor, the other ""nice"" doctor is not very experienced yet more

Agree with the other reviews 4/23/2008

It's a nice new facility, and easy to get an appointment, but I cannot recommend this doctor. You have to see many PA's before seeing her, and she is impersonal and not open to many questions. I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in the coldest way I can imagine. Pros: Nice facility, easy to get an appointment, bloodwork done onsite Cons: hard to see the doctor herself, doctor is impersonal, not all questions answered more

Need a good thyroid doctor... 4/22/2008

Read the above reviews after I went to Dr. Scumpia, now I too am looking for another dr. If any of the above reviewer read this please respond via email with recommendations. more

Terrible Experience 7/30/2007

Do not go here!! You will RARELY see the physician (I saw her once in 1 year!). I'm a long term thyyroid patient and know my disease inside and out. I was repeatedly seen by PA's (just out of school) who did not have a clue about hypothyroid symptoms and ignored what I was telling them. These folks treat to a TSH level and will ignore your symptoms. Its cookie-cutter treatement, impersonal, and you will be wasting your time, money and health. Read the other reviews written on her practice and note the recent ones are all saying the same things. RUN, don't walk away from this priactice, AND FIND YOURSELF ANOTHER DOCTOR! Pros: Location & they take most insurance plans Cons: Treatment, responsiveness, patient care, staff more

I switched because it was hard to communicate with the Doctor & her office 5/28/2007

I hate to say this, but I had to switch to Dr. Blevins practice because it was too hard to communicate with the Doctor Scumpia & her office team. I always left with more questions than when I came in with. In fact, I usually had to then call my very patient Family Doctor (Dr. Sharon Hausman-Cohen) to explain why I should NOT BE WORRIED about the tumor that Dr. Scumpia casually mentioned that she found - gulp. To be fair, the doctor is technically excellent. BUT ... the entire staff seems stressed and rushed because of her personality. The doctor has dramatically increased her advertising this year. My hope is that her team can learn from these reviews v=before more unhappy patients walk away. Again, I apologize I couldn't be more optimistic. Pros: Very smart, well known in her field Cons: The Doctor & staff both are rushed & have trouble explaining key concerns more

Horrible Experience! 4/25/2007

I have nothing good to say about Scumpia's practice. My complaints are as follows: more

Not Impressed 2/1/2007

Not impressed with my first visit. I spent an overall of 4 hours at the doctors office. The staff is friendly, the place is very nice, but very dusty, but I was not impressed with Dr. Scumpia. I waited hours before she saw me. When she walked in she introduced herself and then proceded to check my neck for my thyroid. Then sat down to write some notes on my chart, which only took less than 5 mins, then sent me off to the lab, and said good-bye. Am searching for different doctor. more
