Doggie and Owners LOVE this place! 4/25/2011

Our special pup just spent his first weekend at Dogtown and he came back SO happy and chilled out. The crew over there is SO wonderful about sending you updates and even VIDEOS of your dog playing! It's amazing. And we even received some actual photo prints of just our pup when we picked him up. We love that they offer non-caged overnight stay options for our newly adopted large dog as well. The peace of mind you have knowing your dog is in good hands is priceless - thank you Dogtown!! While this does not effect my review, I will say that our pup had a distinctive smell when we picked him up from boarding. It won't distract me in the least from taking him back - he IS a dog - but maybe get the "exit bath" if your dog has important plans afterwards ;) more

Woof woof! 2/17/2010

My vet recommened Bobbi Colorado's Canine Camp. I could not have been happier. I trusted my vets opinion, and he was so right! I love that the dogs have so much fun playing together. I also felt so comfortable that the owners live on the property. It gave me a sense of calm knowing someone with expertise was there 24 hrs. I now recommend Bobb Colorado's Canine Camp to all of my dog loving friends. Pros: Very professional, caring, staff. Great facilities. Love the Cons: None more

WOW! 4/3/2009

I took my 4 spoilt brats for an evaluation to see if we could leave them for two weeks while we go on vacation, so I left them for the day, not expecting the spoilt little foursome to behave very well. Not only were they exhausted from playing, they were so happy and content they all fell asleep in the car on the way home. The girls were so patient and great, that I really don't feel nervous about leaving them at all, in fact I know they are going to be treated really well. The set up is that of home. They get to hang out in the house and play all day, with a great outside area to run about when they want it. Pros: amazing care!!!!! Cons: What are the drawbacks? more

I wouldn't take my dogs anywhere else 8/30/2008

I am very protective of my dogs and this is the only daycare or boarding facility I use in Austin ( and i have tried others Pros: great indoor and outdoor facilities Cons: none more

Great Indoor/Outdoor Doggy Daycare 5/19/2008

I was looking for a new Doggy Daycare when I moved to So. Austin. I initially just moved to the So. Austin site of my previous Doggy Daycare, won't mention the name, and did not have the same overall satisfaction from that site as I had the No. Austin site. Plus, they were outdoor only with crating between play times, so my boys were having bad allergies and coming home with higher levels of energy than they were supposed to after a day at daycare. So, I started looking around for a different daycare. I stumbled across Austin Dogtown on Citysearch. I sent and email to inquire about view the facility. It was right around the holidays, and those of us who do boarding and daycare know what a hectic time it is for them. The owner sent me an email and gave me a call. I set up a appt to go view the facility. I got the full tour and really like the fact that they are an indoor and outdoor facility. I scheduled the initial appt for the boys and haven't looked back since. Becca and staff are absolutely wonderful and my boys LOVE it there. I saw improvements in energy, or lack there of when I picked them up and the skin type allergies dropped drastically as well. I would highly reccommend this facility for those that have pampered pooch's like mine. Pros: Indoor/Outdoor facility, Wonderful Careing Staff Cons: Receiving/Pick up area not segregated. more

The Best! 5/9/2008

My Pug has been coming to the wonderful ladies at Austin Dogtown for doggy day care for over six months now, and he/we couldn't be happier! They are both incredibly nice and professional, and run a clean, well-supervised, and safe facility. Importantly, they're attentive to each dog's individual needs; for example, my dog has allergy/heat issues, and they do a great job of monitoring him when he's not 100%. Also, when he comes home, he's exhausted and well behaved (a good dog is a tired dog!) from all of the fun he's had during the day. Thank you ladies! Pros: Safe, friendly, flexible, attentive Cons: None! more

Dog Heaven! 4/24/2008

I just boarded my dog here for the first time and she had a blast! When I picked her up she was in a great mood. I could tell that she was having a lot of fun. When she got home she lay down on the couch and slept for 5 hours solid. She is better behaved and happier than she has ever been! The staff were friendly, helpful, and very responsive. They have a great understanding of dog parents! I will definitely use Dogtown for boarding from now on - and am going to try dog daycare too! Pros: Great staff, dog socialization more

We love Dogtown! 4/19/2008

Our Labrador retriever goes to Dogtown nearly every day while we work, and we use Dogtown when we're out of town for boarding. We have a dog who gets anxious when we're gone, and Dogtown is the first place that he's been able to relax (and not get sick) when we're out of town. It's so nice to have FINALLY found a place that can be our dog's second home when we can't be around. I've never experienced a boarding or day care facility that provides such excellent care to the dogs. It's clear that the staff loves the dogs. Not only does our dog get lots of play time with his four-legged friends, but he also gets plenty of attention from the caring and professional staff. Becca (the owner) and her staff use positive reinforcement training methods to work with those dogs (like mine) who could use a little refinement in their daily manners, which is a huge bonus! The facilities are always clean, and play times are organized by temperament and size. Pick-up and drop-off couldn't be easier and is always very organized. We've been using Dogtown for about eight months now and wouldn't consider taking our dog anywhere else. And it's clear our dog loves Dogtown too -- he goes bounding in each morning to greet both the staff and the other dogs! Pros: Caring staff, great customer service, clean facilities Cons: None! more

They love dogs! 1/9/2008

If you're looking for a fun, playful atmosphere for your pup- Austin Dogtown is the place to go. My dog gets more playtime at Austin Dogtown than at any other daycare or boarding facility I have tried. We have tried multiple facilities in town, trying to find the right one for our 4-legged kid... and we knew the minute we walked into the front door of Austin Dogtown that it was the place for us! The staff is warm and knowledgeable and they definitely love dogs! The atmosphere can be a bit crazy and loud at times-- but it is always under control and our dog absolutely loves it.... the dogs interact with each other and people-- and are not locked in a crate all day. The outdoor area is fairly small, but the dogs have free-reign on the facility most of the time, which my girl loves! The location close to downtown is perfect for us... Pros: great location, awesome staff, clean facilities Cons: none! more

Best dog daycare & boarding facility in town 1/9/2008

We have had great luck at Dogtown- our 2 dogs visit both for daycare & boarding and always come home happy, healthy, and exhausted! The staff is wonderful- and you can tell they really love their jobs and all of the dogs... I would highly recommend Dogtown to anyone looking for a social, loving atmosphere for their furry kid while they're at work or out of town! Pros: all good for us more

Best Doggy Daycare in 78704 - Indoor Play Areas 8/24/2007

I have tried other doggy daycares in this vicinty and Austin Dogtown in the best. My dog is happy ,and more importantly, tired when I pick her up. The indoor play area is great and the facility never seems over-crowded. This means more attention to your dog with minimal crating. Pros: Indoor Play Area, Doggy Loving Staff Cons: Location??? more

Reliable Day Care 8/3/2007

I have not seen a review on this day care and my dog is a daily visitor. Becca is the owner and has provided my dog, Piper, with nothing but outstanding day care. She has indoor and outdoor facilities to keep the dogs happy and moving. Piper has been in day care since she was 14 weeks and we recently moved from Boston. We arrived on a Thurday and Piper visited Becca on Friday. We were so impressed we left her for a half day while we bought house supplies. When we came back she was happy and seemed to have a great time. From that point on we have become regular customers. We just returned from a week long vacation. Piper spent this time with Becca and her staff. She kept a daily log of her work outs, food, and bathroom info. She even took pictures of Piper at play to e-mail us so we could see how she was doing. I can't recommend this day care enough. It has been a positive experience and we look forward to day care every day. If you live in the South Austin area, or don't mind driving the extra few miles (We live in Central Austin), then this is your place. ***An update to the last review I posted...we brought home a new pup in January and she has been in daycare since she was 15 weeks. Becca and staff have welcomed Reba with open arms and have cared for her through her spay and puppy growth. Reba flings herself out of the door each morning and practically jumps into Becca's arms. That's a happy dog and loves her daily routine. Having two labs at Dogtown has provided me the opportunity to work worry free, ensure they are being exercised daily, and that their socialization and manner training continues when I can't be there. Becca and staff are great and as the business grows continue to accomodate us daily and for overnights. Thanks for all you do. We truly recommend this day care to EVERYONE and will continue to do so. Pros: Experienced owner, great support staff, indoor and outdoor facilities, good mix of dog breeds more
