Wow! All I can say is the person who did my nails (Kimmy) has lack of experience!!! Terrible job and bad attitude! Uses foul language and never corrects but uses excuses to cover her bad work!!! Before you talk about how i apply my makeup, you should look in the mirror first because in my opinion it seems as tho you have 5 pounds of makeup on and the makeup makes you look like a funny clown. So no thanks for your offer, and just to give you a nice and helpful tip- treat your clients with respect and kindness NOT with foul languages and bad attitude! Thanks more

This was my recent post on Facebook when describing how much I LOVE Aura Nails: ""I ? them!!... Kimmy @ Aura Nails is awesome!! She does it all; amazing nails, make up, awesome feather extensions, any thing you could think of they do it miraculously!! I've never had a complaint. Which we all know is hard to come across. lol. By far my favorite nail salon, definitely worth the drive! :)"" I will admit that I am a VERY picky/needy customer. When it comes to shopping, getting my nails/hair done, pretty much anything that involves me spending money... I'm SUPER big on customer service and feeling welcomed.... Aura nails meets all my needs! Kimmy and ""G.I Joe"" are great!! This is probably one of the first places where I haven't had to complain about anything! Their whole process is seamless. And their products and outstanding! I'm a fairly new customer and plan to remain a loyal one! I've gotten a full set of pink & white solar nails, fills, and pedicures. Never have I had a problem with them lifting, becoming discolored, becoming dull, breaking, or chipping. I once went about three weeks without a fill and even then, I was still getting compliments on them. They looked great! Kimmy is also very talented when it comes to cosmetics and feather extensions... I was really hesitant to hop onto the latest trend of feathers in your hair but because of how adorable they looked in Kimmy's hair, I went for it! They look fantastic, she was able to customize the feathers to my liking down to the colors and length! I love them!.. My favorite thing about Aura Nails is how lovely the staff is! ""G.I Joe"" is so much fun! He does an amazing job on my nails & keeps a smile on my face while I'm there. He's so funny!.. I took a friend of mine to Aura Nails for his FIRST PEDICURE & he absolutely loved it! Said he'd be returning! And it takes a lot to have a (straight) salesman like a nail establishment and feel comfortable in the environment, which he did! I could go on and on about Aura Nails but I hope that everyone has a chance to experience the joy at first hand! :) more

I have been a devoted customer to Aura Nails for well over two years now. During that time I've had my ups and downs making me less than a ""consistent"" customer. All the while, Kimmy and her team have provided the most consistent services and products possible. I believe the word loyalty best describes Aura Nails. From incredible solar nails to beautiful pedicures, I know Aura Nails is as loyal to me as I am to them. My eight year old son is known and welcomed in the salon and HE loves going to see Kimmy and his friends at Aura Nails. I travel a lot for work and have, therefore, had to get ""patch work"" done on the road and it has done nothing but reinforce my understanding of the skill, kindness and quality it takes to produce quality and kindness all in the same package. I am Mom of 2 kids, coach sports, work full time, and with that being my life, I find no time for myself, I happen to walk cause I was in area and I WONT GO ANYWHERE ELSE for anything, from mani, pedi, brows the nine, and I will let anyone who works there do my nails, cause the caliber of talent is untouched. All of the staff is nice, funny, and they want you to feel like a million dollars when you leave no matter what service it is.. Kimmy has actually been a huge part in letting me know that it is ok to take time for myself. Great Customers that come in, maybe never had not seen them before but we will all carry on a chat that is soo much fun, my kids have both been in there and LOVED IT. I read some of these insane postings and normally I would NEVER write a thing, but I really had to set it straight for ya!!! Kimmy, Carrie, Frankie, and Sonny see ya soon, You above the rest!! I have been a customer of Kimmy's since she opened her store in Gresham. She is consistent, hard working and I have never had a problem with my nails. Kimmy does have a ""tell it like it is"" personality, but I love that! She is straight forward and fair. I have always loved my nails and toes, referred many people who have all been happy and when I have a smudged toe nail etc...she has never made me pay more for it. I love this salon. She is fantastic, hires only people that speak English too and is very professional. Pros: Clean store, English speaking, great nails! more

after paying over $50 for a set of nails i went in to get some nails fixed that came off two days after thet were put on. i thought they would be free considering how much i paid and tipped. Nope, not the situation. When i told i had no money on me she turned extremely violent, yelling profantity and thretening my family and there lives. she also said if i didnt pay "" i will beat the money out of you little girl"". i m 16 years old. This salon is very close to my home so when it opened I was excited how nice it looked inside....Until I had my nails done by Kimmy.. I had gel nails I went all the way to Beaverton to have done and decided to give this place a try (alot closer to home) I told her I had gel and would she be able to do a fill on gel nails? She said yes.. during my fill and lasting until the end of my brow waxing..all she did was talk about other customers and said some really bad things about how cheap they were and she was looking at a differnt location because the clients here in Gresham were not what she would like to have (um hello? I live right up the street?).. I was so put off by her unprofessional attitude I would have not gone back just from that let alone the fact she put acrylic over my gel nails!! Too bad! I had such high hopes.. Pros: nice new interior..great colors.. Cons: Very Unprofesional Manager more

Every time I make the trip into Aura Nails... I am always greeted with a smile instantly. They now know me by my first name and remembers my preferences. Pros: uses high quality products and listens to its clients Cons: nada thing more

I get compliments on my french nails at the grocery store and when I go to the dry cleaners. Pros: Kimmy and her coworkers do an excellent job on my nails Cons: Once in a while I have to wait, but it is worth the time. more

Do not go here! I don't even know why this place received ""one"" good review. As it is now worthy of it. I hardly sign up for these accounts, but the service I received was so terrible. I would give it a zero star rating if allowed, but unfortunately, I had to give it a one because they system does not allow negative ratings. Pros: nothing! I completely can see how the customer above had an awful experience. I can guarantee it was the same person who did my sisters acrylics. My sister had an identical experience with her acrylics when we went in today. It was such an awful experience that I had to write a review; which I seldom do. When we arrived we were the ONLY people in the salon. We wanted a mani/pedi and a fill/pedi. A man started working on me right away. The woman (manager?) was on her cell phone and doing her hair ( I am not exaggerating). After 10 minutes she finally came over and started working on my sister. She kept talking socially on her phone the entire time. It was very rude and unprofessional. My pedi was double the time of my sisters. The woman did not massage my sis's legs/feet and her pedi only took the woman 10 minutes. Pedi's are supposed to be a relaxing experience; not just a color change. Very unfair considering mine started earlier and ended at the same time. Half way through our pedi's there were 2 walk ins. They were going to be next. The girl got the water running for them and then they waited. Meanwhile 3 more walk in's came in and she told them it would be 10 minutes. How would it only be 10 minutes when they still had to finish my sister and I ( and do our hands) plus the other 2? Needless to say one of those girls from that party was just getting stared when we left. She had waited over an hour. The manager was HIGHLY confrontational and really rude to paying customers. If she plans to stay in business she really needs to learn about best practices in customer service. The other women in there and my sister and I were all sharing glances and raised eyebrows the entire time. The manager was constantly barking commands at people. It was such a stressful experience. I don't get to get my nails done as often as I would like and when I do I don't want to be on edge the entire time. I will NEVER go back. Who wants to spend 40.00 to be barked at and get a sub-par result. Save your money!!! I wish I would have just gone somewhere else. Aura Nails is just down the street from my house. I started going in for a simple brow wax (which gave my brows the best shape ever - Thanks Kimmy!) Since becoming a regular for brow wax, I treated myself and friends to spa pedicures, which were amazing. Most recently, I have become addicted to microderm abrasion facials. If you have never had one - Go get one! I got this done on special for $60, i think regular price is $99 - It is worth every penny. First, they cleanse your face thoroughly with Dermilogica brand products, put on a mask, steam your face, etc - then they go over it with a little sucking/ buffing tool. It may sound weird, but after you're done, you have the face of a baby! It's amazing, and I will continue using Aura Nails for everything! On another note, I am wondering if the other bad review was in the right place - It seems really strange? Pros: Wide array of services, great staff, reasonable price Cons: None that I have experienced more

The first girl who helped me was very friendly, sadly she only specialized in nail removal and solar nails. After getting my old acrylic nails removed for a fresh set, in comes the manager to take over. At first, she was nice as well, but when she started to cut the acrylic unevenly (her friend was visiting her so she was distracted the whole time), I pointed it out to her. She assured me that it was fine and normal for that shaping stage to appear uneven, so I trusted her. After molding the acrylic on however, you can clearly see that all my nails were different lengths! That's when I pointed it out and told her that they were clearly uneven. This was when she started to blame me for her lousy service. She told me that it was ""my fault for making her so nervous and therefore it's a bad job"" and that she ""can't help it"". So me sitting there silently watching TV (while she was being distracted by her visiting friend by her side, talking to her) made my nails look uneven?! Really? Wow. I have been to a couple nail salons here and there but I have never been told I had such power! Her attitude started to get worse over the next few minutes, finally snapping at another female to turn off the TV. She cracked a few of my nail beds (I found out later at home) because she was pushing on her equipment with frustration. If I could rewind time, I should have just walked out by that stage but I wanted to give her a second chance. The end product was horrible...when I told her the lengths were uneven, she forcefully coated more acrylic to make my other fingers ""match"" but my nails ended up looking clumpy and overloaded with acrylic. I asked for french tip at the beginning, but she started to paint my whole nail, so for the last time, I corrected her and she (of course) shows attitude while correcting herself. After she was done, she circled a few prices on a pamphlet and threw it down on the table and demanded an amount to be due (yes, demanded). My poor boyfriend was waiting for me all this time and once we got in the car, he told me that he would have walked out if he were me. For someone to claim that they have been in this business for 12 years, you would have expected better, right? I don't know about you, but I sure as hell don't like to be blamed for someone's lousy service and lack of skills. Pros: Great ambience, warm colors. Cons: Unprofessional, attitude problem (from the manager) and rude more
