Augusta Animal Emergency is wonderful! I would recommend this clinic to anyone with a pressing need to see a veterinarian. My husband and I adopted a min pin (Chipper) from an animal rescue group, and we were worried about his general health. He was extremely underweight, and we noticed a couple of worms exiting his body. We figured we should go to the vet ASAP.
We adopted Chipper today (Sunday), and we promptly brought him to AAE. It seems Chipper has two types of worms, explaining his emaciated looking exterior. The entire staff was wonderful, and Dr. Runnels took time to completely explain the treatment process, necessary precautions, and expectations. They were reasonably priced. I have used other emergency clinics in town, and they were very expensive compared to AAE. We were only charged a little over $100 for vet exam, fecal samples, and medications.
Highland Animal Hospital is our normal vet, and their answering service recommends AAE. I figured if Highland's answering message recommended AAE, then I should surely use them! I will make sure I always use AAE in the future.
Pros: friendly, knowledgeable, reasonably priced, open 24hrs
