The huge plexiglass tunnel that you walk through when first entering the Aquarium of the Americas is unique for seeing the many types of fish that are swimming all around you. If you get there at feeding time, you see divers in the tanks with fish coming to eat from their hands. One of the most enjoyable things is to look at the faces of the young children as they walk through the tunnel. Their eyes seem to get twice as big as they stare at the fish all around them. Don't miss the otters upstairs, they are super cute. And if you want a snack, there is an outdoor patio upstairs where you can munch out and view the Mississippi River. Also next door is the IMAX theater if you have time.
