I recently purchased an alarm system for my vehicle and Victor provided great professional service. The truck had problems starting that morning; after I brought it in he also checked out the alternator and battery, found the problem and was able to fix it. This saved me an additional trip to a mechanic. Great alarm so far; installation looks very neat & wiring blends in with the motor. I recommend Victor & Audiomobile. more

He asked the right questions to determine what I needed, was upfront about all costs - kits, labor, etc. I never felt I was being led on to buy something that was too expensive and not what I really needed. Long story short, go here to get a car audio system installed. Victor, the owner, is very friendly, and willing to go the extra mile to get the job done right. Long story is that I purchased my system on Ebay and was looking for someone local to install it for me. I'm fairly recent to Austin, so I don't know of any good places. So I read a bunch of reviews, and decided to check this place out. I called to get a quote over the phone on how much it would be to hook up 2 12"" Kicker Soloberic L7s, a Kicker 30 band EQ, and a Kicker ZX1500.1 monoblock amp. I was told to come in to get a quote because Victor wants to look at everything and make sure he gives a quote that's fair to him and fair to me. So upon arrival. The place is pretty small looking on the outside, and honestly looked a little sketchy to me. I walk in and talk to Victor, and can see he's a guy that definitely is about good customer service. So I decided to ask him a bunch of questions to see if he'll be able to do what I want, and he assures me he'll get it done. So I get my quote, which included adding Dynamat to my trunk, a yellow top battery, and a wiring kit. I drop the car off after being able to be scheduled very quickly which was a plus. I'm told it should be done that day most likely, the next afternoon the latest, but was going to be a day job at least for sure. I get a call shortly after it was dropped off and was informed that I needed a higher gauge wiring kit and the price would go up probably around $100 for that. I confirmed that it required a higher gauge, so no big deal. I also found out that I was going to need a little more dynamat than was ordered, but he didn't charge any extra for labor. He actually had another dynamat like material (just not as thick, but still a good product.) that he used and didn't charge me for the little extra. I later get a call saying that he's having issues getting the amp to give juice to the speakers. He said he'll work on it for about another hour or so before closing up for the night - this was at 5PM already, I dropped it off at 8AM, so he's already a full day in and was still willing to give it more time instead of going home on a Friday night. He ultimately calls me back with the bad news that the amp I purchased was bad. It wasn't powering on. I purchased the amp online, and no one was open to contact about my exchange, and I was eager to get it in. I decided to purchase a replacement at another local shop cause unfortunately Victor wasn't able to get me the same one at his shop. I brought it back to him and at no extra charge he mounted the amp to the box, got it wired up, tuned the amp and EQ, and called me with the good news that it was working, and it's insanely loud...and it definitely is! Very happy with my experience. Victor is a stand up guy, answered my call at 7:30 at night, and is good at what he does. I ended up only paying about $100 more than expected, so there was no bait and switch trick like a lot of places I know back in CT used to try to do and I'm sure do at other places around here as well. more

I have a 1990 Toyota Camry that I had purchased used - a Kenwood CD player had been put in the dash but the sellers gave me the original factory cassette setup when I purchased the vehicle. I had been fine with the CD player until recently when the connection between the stereo and the speakers seemed to be loosening - I would have inconsistent volume and little bumps in the road would take the music away completely, even for days at a time. I had recently got a new ipod that I wanted to use in my car, so I decided to kill two birds with one stone and reinstate the factory setup so I could begin using a cassette-to-ipod converter. SO glad I called around and found this place - other places were asking for $55-$80 to simply switch the two stereos... Victor told me $35 on the phone and stayed true to the price when I came in. Not only did he fix me up at the store within 2 hours of calling, but he estimated it would take 30 minutes - 1 hour. In actuality, from the moment I pulled up to the store to the moment I drove away as a happy customer was 15 minutes. AND: -he explained to me why my CD player had been having faulty sound; -he had fixed my broken speaker (which I hadn't even thought of asking about); -programmed my new radio with my old saved ""favorite"" stations. While I'm sure I could have spent some stressful hours figuring it all out myself for no cost, Victor provided the best deal for the best service. I'll definitely be back for any car audio needs! I went in because my foot caught on a stereo wire that was sinfully dangling down behind my clutch in my just purchased new used car and ripped it out of wherever it came from ending my audio entertainment. I just wanted the wire put back in. Victor took a look and saved me from some potentially catastrophic experiences from a stereo that was completely hooked incorrectly into the electrical system. He showed me how it was wired and explained why my stereo was not turning off when I turned off the car, and that had I continued driving it that way, I would have ended up with either a dead battery or a car fire. He completely rewired my stereo and put all the wires away where an active foot near the clutch should never encounter them. I was very satisfied with the price and the service. When I saw all the fantastic reviews, I thought maybe Victor didn't really need another good review, but I really can't pass up to opportunity to say what an unexpected pleasure it was to deal with Victor. Weeks after I had an electrical issue following the car alarm installation (a problem that turned out to be unrelated to his work), Victor called to follow-up just to make sure everything turned out OK. He had offered a refund the car alarm installation was causing the problem. He even called the repair shop to explain exactly what his installation entailed to assist them in diagnosing the electrical problem. That's what I call integrity, all too rare to find these days. I actually was having all my speakers and subs removed from my truck bc I was selling it. Victor removed the subs as well as all the wiring and wrapped them up nicely. Vic did a great job on a little Honda Civic I had just bought. He put in an alarm system for me as well as installed a Sony radio I had that I had taken from my son's car. The alarm install was a very clean job and Vic worked quickly and efficiently. He pointed out to me all the features of the alarm, as well as some install features (separate power cables for the alarm to the battery) that enhanced it's ability to keep the car secure. The radio install was really slick compared to what someone's cousin had done. The old unit stuck out of the dash and the install process had zapped the dome lights and the remote door opener. Vic new the trick to get the dome lights working again and the new alarm came equipped with a new remote system, so good as new! I have done some mechanic work myself, and always feel better when I walk into a shop that is clean, neat and organized-as Vic's was. Heck, his bathroom was clean enough for my wife to use! All around a very good job done right by a man interested in maintaining his reputation with his customers...it was a pleasure to do business with him! We are new to Austin and I was looking for a window tinting service for my son's truck in South Austin so I wouldn't have to drive North. My '00 Jeep wouldn't start after I replaced my starter (had disconnected battery) due to a non-factory alarm, was about to have it towed to the dealership to have the electrical system / alarm checked out, but called Audio Mobile first, spoke with Victor, and he came to my apartment and circumvented my alarm (which was not factory, bought the car used and I had a killswitch i could not disengage) and got me back on track in under an hour. When my car window was broken and my radio stolen, the insurance company said I could take my car anywhere I wanted. After the window was replaced, I spoke with a number of window tinters in the area to get the window re-tinted (even had an appointment at one shop, guy didn't show up). Needless to say, I was in a bad mood about the business. Victor took care of everything. He gave me a specific time that he could look at my car, an accurate time to pick it up, and he fixed the poor audio installation. The cost was very resonable and the service was perfect.
