Audio Express Home of the One Dollar Install

To start with after reading the reviews from others, attitude is everything. 1st) I came into the store a couple times and have always had a good experience with Ryan the Manager, always polite and went out of his way to find me the answer with some complicated questions. 2nd) I do allot of research on the products i am looking for prior to just walking in and wasting everyone's time, which time is something they have always given when i come into the store. 3rd) I shopped around the area for prices and found this store gave me the best prices i could find. Everybody knows this is a business and to stay in business you have to make money, after shopping around they didn't pay the rent off my deal for sure. 4th) they were kind enough to let me watch my installs (three cars remote starts) the installers were easy to talk with (no stupid questions helps, they are working!) but got the job done. The install was clean, no damage that was observed to my seats or dash, all wires were soldered/covered and tucked away. So if you are looking for a good price on some good products give these guys a chance, as for the others with negative replies it sounded they did what they could do to resolve the problem, but there are always some customers you can never please! more

Then I look down on my Leather seat and it is COVERED with sticky sh1t like bubble gum.... needless to say it was dino mat that the installer had on his pants obviously... I was so pissed I just said ""this is a $50k car and you treat it like this"" ""Get my seat cleaned off and Ill fine someone else to fix this crap"" so from him scrubbing on my seat ""you know how leather looks when it gets worn?"" well now a section of my seat looks like that! The car has 10k miles for got sake! And to top it off my radio sounds like SH1T now! It has static and gets loud sometimes or real quiet.... completely sounds like crap. Then I get in my car the other day and however they hooked it up drained the battery... It was dead as a door nail... in 2 days of being in my garage.... I wouldn more

Awesome products; outstanding customer service & support. My radio went out on my Toyota truck. Even though its a 1998, the sound of the original equipment was nice & I wanted a system just as nice or better. The salesperson spent a lot of time showing me the systems and their features...outstanding customer service. I ended up picking a Kenwood system. Well.....about a couple of weeks later, I wanted more sound and didn't like the way the radio changed stations. This is where the outstanding customer support comes in. The same salesman help me pick out an awesome system (be sure to get the Bluetooth feature, its wonderful) and the manager himself installed the system! I couldn't be happier, the features and sounds are great & and I didn't pay a penny more!! more

I first called Audio Express in St. Peters looking for a dash installation kit for my 98 accord. I specifically asked for the Metra 99-7895 and was told that they didn't have any in stock. The two locations that did have them in stock was South County and Fairview Heights. I first called South County looking for this Metra 99-7895 and they did have one in stock but due to the low stock they couldn't let me have it. So I called Fairview Heights. I was first greeted with a very bland ""... hello...?"" and I explained that I was looking for a metra 99-7895. He put me on hold and said he did have some in stock. I asked him how much they were and he said ""forty bucks."" I said thanks and hung up the phone. I immediately called a 4th location and asked for the same part number fully knowing that they won't have any in stock but I also asked how much the part was. The guy on the other end said ""this particular kit runs about 20 dollars."" I told him ""That's funny... I just got off the phone with the Fairview Heights location and they wanted 40 for it."" Needless to say, I am not impressed with this location. I'm not a stupid consumer and I don't expect to be treated like one. I know usually buying items in a store front isn't as cheep as E-bay, but having an item cost 100% more than a different Audio Express is crazy. Go to the one on Mid Rivers. They were pretty nice. more

Wow I would have rather taken my system to a twelve year old for an install. Well after there one dollar install became a 150 dollar one i became quite angry. I mean you go in this place and i feel like a just walked into a cook county jail house. I felt as though i needed a shank or something. Then all the characters are acting VERY suspicious! I couldn't belive this was a reputible business! Then after paying they couldn't even provide me with a printed reciept to tell me what i had paid for... What the hell! Oh and their cash drawer opens with a key! No register!! haha. I just couldn't believe it! Next time i want something done i will either go to custom sounds or drive my happy butt all the way back to chicago where i know that i can get a real install done at a good price and not with all the ""extra charges""(pocket money for employees Pros: Nothing Cons: Everything more
