Horrible and expensive loss... I originally went to audio depot, because their cost for install was cheaper. I told them specifically that i want them to install the front 5x7's and to disconnect the rear 5x7's and to mount my 6x9's instead using the previous wiring, and they said that there wouldn't be a problem with that...They installed my speakers but did a very bad job, for instance (they didn't screw my 6x9's down and they used duck tape to insulate the speakers from the metal chassis). After driving for 10 minutes my head unit turned off... so after going back, they said that there was something wrong with mercury head units that i needed to buy another head unit, and then i found out that they still had the 5x7 speakers still hooked up plus the rear 6x9's on the same speaker line. I complained and told them that it was their fault that they blew my head unit by overloading it. They said they messed up and wanted to make it right with me. So they supposedly gave me a deal with a jensen head unit for $350 dollars and they didn't charge me for the install. Well after another day of having the head unit I decided that I wanted to exchange my head unit out and get my money back because it was out dated, had problems, and was more expensive than suggested retail. When I returned to audio depot the owners were real jerks and were very argumentative. They wouldn't give me my money back and said that they would only offer store credit and that all deals were final. So then i used the store credit for an alpine speaker amp.,and it turned out to be a bad one, and had an overheating problem ever since I've had it.
I was so fed up with their lack of respect and crummy business practices that I refused to go back and exchange the amp for another one. My only hope is that no one else will make the mistake that I have by going to audio depot and wasting money and letting them destroy my car.
