Service Rip Off 9/14/2012

I took my A4 to Valley 3 times because the engine was knocking so badly. Each time I was told the issue was resolved but it never was. When I finally took the car to a capable mechanic he found the inside of the engine shredded - now I need a new engine. The car was under warrantee the first time they worked on it, so I was hoping they could help me with the cost of the engine but they refused. No I’m out of warrantee and out of pocket the cost of a new engine because they mis-diagnosed the issue from the start. Be especially careful of the service manager, Dave. He yelled, cursed and called the police when our mechanic came for an appointment to explain the issue. He is a volatile and slippery little guy. more
