I am not an international student so I am sure I have a different experience from others. However, Auburn is a great school to go to. I haven’t noticed it as being very transient, on the weekends the night spots are usually crowded especially during fall. During winter things fall off a bit and it can be dead. My theory is people get their grades from fall and rededicate themselves to their studies. But when the weather warms up so does the town. There are also many events throught out the year, from outdoor concerts to boxing, even drive in movies sponsered by Auburn. You are bound to find something interesting. If not, there are plenty of organizations to join from community based to religious based. Also, gaming, Greek, sports, and flying. Also, there is a large ROTC program based on campus. For those just wanting to have fun there are a few bars located close to campus and there are many social “get together’s” thrown by students. There are two state parks that are close which offer fishing, swimming, and hiking. And plenty of parks can be found, some of which are pet friendly. Most of the students and faculty are very nice and friendly. And the campus itself is beautiful (right now there is a lot of construction though). I came from my bachelor’s degree and in December graduated with my masters. So Auburn has a way of getting into you and not letting you go. If anyone is considering Auburn University as a school, I would say go without thinking twice. WAR EAGLE!
