Atlas Heating & Air Cond.

I recently purchased a 1955 3 bedroom home in Redondo Beach, and I was not about to endure another winter without central heating. After reading several reviews and calling around, I landed on Atlas Heating & Air as my choice. I'm very, very glad I did. Curt, the owner, came out to my house and walked me though my options, explaining where I could save money and what would be worth my investment. His prices are very fair and the work was stellar. I am usually un-easy about lots of people working in my home, but his team was terrific and respectful...and the finished job turned out better than I expected. I would definitely recommend Atlas! more

The owner is very charismatic and promises the world but failed to deliver!\r \r I contracted a whole house forced air system with them for my 1930's home. This was a fairly complicated job that was to take two days. They showed up with 8 guys, 6 of which obviously had NO experience and were hired no doubt as cheap labor and one guy that I was told by the team leader had 20 years experience cut out an entire section of floor moldings to mount a return vent after being instructed to put it 6"" above the molding. Ceiling vents were crooked upon completion and had to be straightened and building the plenum took about 4 hours alone. \r \r There were ""questionable"" guys working all over my home furiously trying to complete the job in one day.\r \r Two weeks later I discovered that one of the guys had gone through my office desk and gotten three credit card numbers and so began a year long nightmare of ID theft issues. Of all my credit cards I only had three in my office top drawer and it was ONLY those three that were used.\r \r USE THESE GUYS WITH ARMED GUARDS PRESENT ONLY!\r more

I've had quite a lot of things done in our house in the past few years. That being said, I'm not a novice when it regards to dealing with contractors and the inflation. I must say, Atlas is truly one of those companies which is very remarkable. The type you would highly recommend to your friends or family alike. They're very good to deal with. The owner made sure that the products/services he was offering tailor to our needs sans the high price tag. His guys arrived on the agreed time; they worked in precision and made sure everything is in order before leaving. They were referred by a friend who's also a very satisfied customer. I must say that it's not very easy to find professionals like them nowadays. No wonder they were highly recommended. more

What a breath of fresh air to have dealt with a company that did not only do a great job in installing my new system but at the same time were courteous and respectful of my property. I wasn’t aware of the appliances rebate at first, but the owner made it a point to educate me about it (even helped me with the paperwork too). Thus, made me get a better deal. I’ve dealt with other contractors before but none of them were at par with Atlas. I’m very pleased on how my business was handled. This company is highly recommendable. more

I don't mean to trash these guys. They aren't completely worthless but I'm writing this to warn you. Most air companies will gouge you. This company is no exception. They gouge less than One Hour / Continental but more than others. They talk a good game but they are terrible at follow up, they overcharge for minor repairs, they have limited knowledge of their products (though they'll try to prove otherwise). It probably won't be a disaster if you to use them. They just aren't the best you'll find and that's what these reviews are supposed to help you do. Pros: Better than One Hour Air Cons: Not worth your time / money more
