We support women through the birthing process with helping - and skilled- hands. All of our 32 labor and delivery RNs are certified in fetal monitoring and neo-natal resuscitation, and nine are nationally certified in intra-partum care.
Our nurse-patient ratio for delivering moms is one-to-one, so you always have your nurse's undivided attention. Athens Regional also maintains a 24-hour, on-site anesthesia staff member to attend to patient comfort issues during labor and delivery and be immediately available in the event of an emergency Caesarean section.
