Diabetic Foot Care The ada recommends all patients being treated for diabetes be seen regularly by a foot specialist to have preventive care and monitoring. Our diabetic shoe program participates with Medicare to provide shoes for qualified patients. Following fitting you will be seen by one of our physicians to make sure you are satisified and the that the shoes fit correctly. Over the past 12 years we have been a part of the sports medicine staff at Clarke Central High School. We have also worked with the University of Georgia athletic department on a variety of sports related conditions. Wound Care Studies have shown that if a wound has not decreased in size by 50% in a 4 week period there is only a 9% change of the wound healing without using other treatment modalities such as graft materials, off loading boots, or possible surgical intervention. We have available all these modalities and are experts in treating wound of all kinds.
