Athens Pizza

We came in on a saturday night it was not to busy but took awhile for our waitress to come we ordered pizza and a large greek salad. When our food came it was good but our server never asked us for refills or if we enjoyed our food it is a shame for the food is good but serve is poor she put down our check and never asked us if we wanted a desert which we had to flag her down so we could some desert which the baklava is very good . Had a horrible experience the worst service and the food was cold. the pizza was cold and tastless server forgot to give us straws we will not be back. Cons: cold food lousy service more

A group of my college friends went in to grab a quick bit our findings were to much dressing on the greek salad greasy pizza and poor service.when we entered we were greeted and shown to a booth when our server finally got there he seemed in a hurry to get us to order he said he was greek and made a few suggestions then hurried off we asked for dressing on the side but he put the dressing on the salad he seemed stressed and was not very good at serving he left dirty dishes on our table and always seemed in a hurry. When our food finally arrived it was cold our server took it back to make it hot but seemed like that was a bother. When we finished he recommended a desert but did not take off any of the diryt dishes we said no thank-you and left. We will not be back. Pros: Not to expensive Cons: food not good service poor more

I previously looked at some editorial about this so-called fabulous, pizza and Greek food joint, and since I just moved in the area and enjoy a good pizza pie and great Greek food, I thought this place would be the answer. This claim is far fetched, the pizza was very bland, although ,yes, it had all the makings of being a good pizza, but it didn't cut the mustard. As for the Greek overshadowing the pizza? What a joke, no flavor,toasted chicken delight, I would not recommend this place for it's pizza or it's Greek food. this is a restaurant that my family has enjoyed for more than 10 years. we have never left dissapointed. ""Mama"" and the managers - Kousta and Vagelli- have always sth nice to tell you and make sure the service and food is excellent. we especially go every sunday for their greek style baked chicken. more

This really is the best Greek pizza in Atlanta. Try the Athen's Special pizza... it's awesome! more

Clearly the reviewer must have gone to one of the other establishments in town named ""athens pizza."" Athens Pizza House of Decatur has the best crust I have ever eaten on a pizza in my life. I heartily recommend Athens for anyone looking for good greek/italian food served as if you're a member of the family. more

I find it very hard to believe that whoever wrote Athens Pizza up actually ate there. This restaraunt has a true family atmosphere, excellent staff, a great greek salad, excellent pizza, and some of the best desserts. The food is reasonably priced and is extremely flavorable - in fact, very different from cardboard. Athens could have made a bad pizza. I mean the restaraunt is always full and they have been in business for over 25 years. I am from New England, lived here in Georgia 12 years now, thank god i finally found some good pizza. I love the pisticcio too. I was not crazy about the house salad dressing on my greek salad, i wish it was sweeter and more flavorful,,but i am glad i can enjoy great pizza and pisticcio without having to get on an airplane to BOSTON. Quaint, upscale location where you still feel comfortable in jeans and a T-Shirt. Great food delivered promptly by courteous servers. Cold beer, freshly made tea and incredible Greek salads - what more could you ask for on a Friday night outing! The pizza is excellent - not too thick and not too thin, yet almost overwhelmingly loaded with toppings. The Gyros are freshly made - not kept under warmers somewhere; and the pasta dishes are also rather good, especially considering this isn't considered an Italian eatery.
