I want to share my experience recently at this place. I also consider myself a regular customer, I have been so since there was an Athens Gyros in a local mall. I agree with the above person's prediction that this business might have been sold or will almost make changes in ways that I will not find attractive. When I arrive there I am always greeted with smiles and a positive vibe. The last time I was there (last week), I observed a staff member actually sitting on the curb where the cars pull up smoking. (ok that might in itself not be a warning sing alone) The man came in from the outside and took the trays and handed it to one of the employees, went directly and started ringing up customers. He did work as if he was new, but did lend a vibe of for lack of a better word a Non-Positive feeling. After I ordered I was waiting and saw one of the regular staff cleaning up the dining area etc... this person was not even finishing one task...he seemed to Order somewhat in a arrogant manner that they ""missed a spot"" Now of course a Boss has the right to do such a thing, but again the Vibe of this New Face made me feel uncomfortable. I am very unsure if this company will remain in a way that I would continue to like to frequent. I especially feel sorry for what might happen to this Lovely Friendly Place. There is one person in particular that seems to be such a Bright Star, she has been around for many years. I was under the impression that she was ""running the show"", that she was in charge and I always have admired her in that respect and well as finding her employees delightful! The food is great tasting and the portions are substantial. Nonetheless I am also Concerned and do not see myself as comfortable going in there as much, I will keep my eye open and hope the Positive Vibe comes back.
To be continued was my state of mind when I wrote this a few days ago. Now I have almost decided that I do not believe that this will be where I decide to go. I did go back and literally saw the same middle aged man behind the registers turn around after taking an order and putting two fingers inside his nose as if he was picking it and then reach to bag food items. I quietly and silently left with a sick stomach and do not plan to return. I will miss what kind of place this used to be, but will not miss what I have observed it becoming.
