My husband worked for Atac in 2015. He was owed wages that they refused to pay, so a complaint was filed with the Labor Commission. The Labor Commission made 3 attempts to resolve the complaint with Atac, no one appeared on behalf of Atac. A judgement by the Labor Commission was issued in Aug. 2015 and they fined them double the amount of wages owed. No attempt by Atac was made to pay. Skip to 2016, my husband was working for a different security company, while at work on April 27, 2016 Mark was murdered. I lost my high school sweetheart and best friend because of criminals, a security company that cared more for their money than keeping employees safe and the property, an under construction apt. Complex, both are guilty in my opinion of negligence. After my husband's murder was a nightmare, memorial plans and service, death certificates, meetings with Assistant District Attorney and LVMPD detectives, etc. Going through paperwork, I came across the judgement letter from the Labor Commission, I remember Mark saying he was going to sue Atac. , but he was going to wait this an car accident suit was settled. I did eventually settled the car accident suit. But, almost 3 years that I have tried to collect the unpaid wages that are/were owed to my husband for work he completed and work that Atac received payment for. They have violated Labor Laws, ignored a Labor Commission judgement and are taking advantage of a murder man and his widow! WageThieves
