Wow...5 out of 5 unsatisfied customers say this place is bad. Sounds like its doctors don't even care about these bad reviews as long as their getting paid. Shame on them and their staff! :/\r Glad I found this review before signing them up as my new PCP. I would have been pretty miffed to find out later for myself. I'll take the high numbers of bad comments any day as an indication of there's something not right about this facility. \r They just lost another client based on these reviews! Dr. Palencia is very polite and professional treat you with respect and take the time to hear you. I have been there a few times and he always cured me. The personal is very helpful and the best of all i never waited more than 15 minutes. Best doctor ever. more

Dr. Palencia mailed me a letter saying to call and make an appointment ASAP because I had abnormal lab results and a possibly life threatening condition. I called right then and found out he was on vacation, and NO ONE at the office (nurse or other doctor) could tell me, so I?d have to wait 2 weeks to find out. Try being terrified of what could be wrong for 2 weeks! Then he refused to tell me over the phone because he wanted to get his $300 for an office visit to tell me 1 sentence of what was wrong. His staff was REALLY nasty on the phone and in person when I came in begging to know what was wrong with me. Then he had no appointments for 3 weeks. After waiting 3 weeks and being terrified of having cancer or aids or something, I found out I had a thyroid problem. Needless to say I didn?t go back. Went to a new doctor, and I DIDN?T EVEN HAVE A PROBLEM. The results he gave me were wrong. There is nothing wrong with me. Who knows what the hell he would have put me on unnecessarily if I went back. DON?T GO HERE. Awful office staff, TERRIBLE bedside manner, and incorrect lab results, and overcharging? the list goes on. Worst experience of my life. I agree 1,000% with the review before mine. I also have Dr. Marone, and they give you a 9am appt., she comes in at 9:45-ish and makes you wait until 10:15am to start calling the patients. God forbid there is a salesman there, because she will take him in first. Oh, and you better pray that her cell phone doesn't ring because she is picking it up. Like the other person said, you expect to wait in a doctors office, but this is ridiculous. more

the staff of astoria medical group and dr. freya marone (especially) are very unprofessional and rude. the dr. was also combative during my time there, when i asked why we wait so long for service. of course we all expect to wait in a doctor's office; however, the staff here are very inconsiderate of their clients' time (once i waited over 1.5 hours). if you have a medical plan that affords you the luxury of better quality medical institutions with kind, compassionate staff, go somewhere else (like i am). we all deserve to be treated like ""clients,"" not like a number.
